Oh, Aba need a buff simply because he wasn’t being played in Hero League? Maybe because he’s unfun against a coordinated team? Maybe he needs a complete revamp. Because it seems you guys only focus on Hero League, and leave Quick Match ignored. Every time you change a hero for the benefit of HL, they become completely broken in QM. Good job.

Who knew in an uncoordinated randomly chosen heroes would result in certain combos being strong? Draft is that way.

Managed to find this old screen from 2015 back when you had 4 tutorials from New to Master. Notice Easy is Li Li and Raynor, Master is explicitly Illidan+Abathur. A nice nod to this combo from the devs.

You can’t just jump into this combo with your friend, you (both of you) have to actually be pretty decent for it to work. It is about so much more than just “hatting Illidan”.

I don’t defend everything the devs do, but when you look at their changes and read the notes, it seems they do their very best to balance around both SL and QM. It’s not an easy balancing act, I think they deserve some credit, especially lately they have been listening to the community (for better or worse) and promptly addressing issues like the one you’re complaining about.

Indeed, that “unfun” buzz word which really means “nerf this, I just got rolled in QM” is getting stale. They should at least come up with something fresh.

Now that’s just wrong. Aba hats Illidan, Illidan pushes one button and the enemy team dies. Rinse and repeat to victory.

With the correct talents, Illidan can even oneshot the enemy core while all their keeps are still up.

yup, illi is strong in the right hands,
but a great help for the enemy team if hes in the wrong hands,
coz he goes on a death streak…

What makes it really funny is that the same people who throw these arguments later on complain about the lack of uniquely designed heroes, seriously at this point I’m dismissing any anti fun argument because its making the game feel worse and this is coming from someone who despise Hammer’s design A LOT.

That will never happen outside bronze/silver MMR if even there. Illidan can’t just “push one button and the enemy team dies” or this combo would be used by every team on the planet. Abathur also can’t just sit at base passively the entire match hatting Illidan.

They already nerfed Illidan/Abathur combo. Adrenal Overload competes with Needlespine. Enjoy!

My bad. There are some pretty wild things implied on the forums sometimes so sarcasm flies over the head in many cases.

On the forums (and even more so on Reddit) people can call Chogall or Probius overpowered and you just can’t know if they’re being serious or not. Much of the time they are being serious.
