Anduin passive breaks Lamb to the Slaughter?

Not sure if it is a bug, but I would think it is? Last game an Anduin used his passive, Leap of Faith, on someone chained by Lamb to the Slaughter which completely cleansed it apparently. I would think the interaction should be that they’re pulled out, then yanked back in by the chain? The descriptions don’t specify enough for me to know if this is a bug or if this interaction is meant to be this way. The three second duration was not up before they were pulled out, the chain did land.

Anduin’s trait makes the target unstoppable in addition to pulling, so the cleanse is intended. Leap of Faith’ing a target that is tethered is supposed to break it.

Unstoppable is supposed to be a cleanse? “Unstoppable is a unique effect that temporarily makes the affected Hero immune to most forms of crowd control” Why would that take the chain off the hero? I understand them actually being moved, but if the timing isn’t right (eg the three seconds aren’t up) I would think they should be pulled back to the post.

Applying unstoppable clears effects that unstoppable would prevent. That’s how it is and how it’s been. shrug bare minimum not a bug. If you’d like to make a case that it should behave differently, I suggest making a topic in general.

Rehgar’s Cleanse at level 7 would break the chain as well, it just wouldn’t pull.

The chain is a form of Crowd Control.
Or rather the chain applies a form of Crowd Control, and hence the chain is considered part of that Crowd Control.

Same difference either way.

Because the chain is a form of crowd control, which is cleared away by Unstoppable.

This also applies to Qhira’s Revolving Sweep. Making the target Unstoppable will detach her from it and put her on the ground where she is.

That said “Cleanse” is not a mechanic of HotS. It is the name of a Talent. Most cleansing like abilities will grant Unstoppable for some short period of time. This removes most CC debuffs due to the nature of Unstoppable. Otherwise they will explicitly state what they remove, such as Lunara’s Abolish Magic which removes DoTs (something Unstoppable does not) as well as other negative debuffs.

For anyone wondering the details of Leap of Faith…

Faith instantly pulls an allied Hero to Anduin’s location, granting them Unstoppable while they travel.

Hence using it on a Butcher chained target will remove the silence and chain from them. Like wise using it on someone who Qhira has locked Revolving Sweep on to will also break her chain from the target.

Eh, you dont understand how unstoppable works?

I agree with you, I don’t think Anduin should be able to pull out people out of Butcher’s ult.
The Dragon Knight can’t even boop heroes out of Butcher’s ult, but Anduin can. Doesn’t seem right.

That is because the Dragon Knight’s charge is just knockback and so does not cleanse the chain away. Falstad’s Mighty Gust will also not be able to knock heroes out of the chain area because that is just Knockback as well.

On the other hand Brightwing can just use her trait to AoE cleanse the chain off everyone allowing them to stroll away, assuming she is not caught by it as well.
