It’s UI is not good/is bad.
You get used to the not good/bad UI.
Your standards are lowered.
Part of it is almost certainly getting used to it. I do agree/will admit. But somethings are just non-sense in the UI department.
I opened it up at work, peeked at it, threads… check against an hour later, i couldn’t open topics. Refresh, lose where exactly I was, it works… until I try again, 30 minutes later and it’s broken again.
I’ve not tried to reproduce this on an Android phone (not google, or Chinese or Amazon) or Windows Phone. But when the links/ability to open discussion breaks without anything amazing happening on my side… yeah.
I pretty much only want to draft Whitemane for E build these days. If I wanted to pick her like I tried her again last night, which was to heal while trading with inevitable Tracer dives using W build, I think would have been better off picking Malf and playing with his level 1 W talent.
No other WM build besides E build can crank out like over 1k healing per second lategame without blowing heroics, it’s just draft-dependent
I mean, they literally said it’s replacing Big Shot, and Big Shot is becoming a baseline ability (part of me feels like that means she’s getting a full kit in Pilot Mode, probably her Dash as well).
I’m not sure what big problem exactly he’s referring to, but he’s not wrong about Murky being hard to balance.
Murky is literally 100% unbeatable in a lot of 1v1 scenarios, but is totally useless if he faces any of his many counters. He also provides so little to teamfights outside of raw damage (which is admittedly pretty high) that he doesn’t gel with anyone in the cast. If you buff him, you exacerbate his dominance against certain heroes. If you rework him, you threaten to take away everything that makes him cool.
I’m fine with Murky remaining niche. He doesn’t have the worst winrate at the very least.
If she has two mech ults, then people who enjoy playing pilot mode are without an ult the majority of the game. If it replaces bunny hop and she gets a new pilot mode ult since big shot is going baseline, you still have the issue of one of her modes not having access to it.
I have no problem with that. Pilot Mode should have always been the emergency form. I imagine they’re trying to discourage its extended use. If they make Pilot Mode too viable while also fixing how trash Mech Mode is, you basically have a solid Bruiser and Valla rolled into one hero. That’s too much.
Even now Pilot mode (despite its dps) is a way to get back mech (faster). What also creates issue in popularity between 2 ults. so yeah.
I guess part of that power will be moved baseline.
EDIT
Answer regarding Matrix reposition means you still will have to go to the other side of the screen to counter Jainas Blizzard and what not.
Pilot Mode is SUPPOSED to be a punishment for bad play, so people should never want to be in Pilot Mode. That was one of the biggest problems with D.Va in this game… They rewarded you for losing your Mech instead of punishing you like they were supposed to do.
I actually prefer pilot mode. I pick the DM talent at 4 that generates self destruct charge, and then the talent at 7 to reduce DM’s cooldown by auto attacks so I can get out of the mech faster. Which is not how I would play her in Overwatch at all, but it’s the only build of hers that I enjoy in hots.
I don’t see how. They both had their uses, and Bunny Hop was weak because, not only it was weak on itself, the mech was weak as well. But that could resolved by a talent rework elsewhere or straight numbers buffs.
Removing the pilot ult also makes a pilot build a bit pointless, since you get to play without an ult.
Pilot ult was always the most popular because it made you get back into the mech faster. Because mech is more useful than pilot. If mech was more difficult to kill, Bunny Hop would be more popular and Big Shot completely unnecessary.
Separating Big Shot from ult tier is the right choice if you want to buff mech.
Huh ? I always picked it because it’s more fun. Faster mech was secondary to me.
That’s like saying you play Twin Blades for the higher self-healing.
The problem again is that we’re getting a build with no heroics.
And that’s too bad because it’s tons of fun to play pilot. High risk high reward. But we’re going from “being in mech as much as necessary” to “being in mech as much as possible.”
