I am at 770 with lunara and was planning on doing alarak next, any tips for a cookie cutter build to start with?
I can understand the passion of playing him so much.
His combos can be so rewarding.

For a beginner fast and easy easiest build:
1 Overwhelming Power
4 Show of Force
7 Hindered Motion
10 Counter Strike
13:
If your teammates die a lot “Pure Malice”
If your enemies die a lot “Rite Of Rakshir”
If no one dies “Blades of the Highlord”
16 Lethal Onslaught
20 Last Laugh (escape with this)
After you are experienced you can basically try other talent variations too and experiment your own optimization, but this is a good start.
Except, dont pick the E-Build talents.
The E-build is 1 static ranged dps build, it doesnt mix well with melee-alarak.

Also, it’s nice to see another Q/Melee Alarak player. Lots of people I see in-game seem to think only E build is worth picking, even when the enemy team has lots of sustain and/or frontline.

I can tell you one thing… Good luck landing those combos on AI players! The AI never keeps still and will change direction while being pulled around. Sure they die because they literally do not attack, but it still makes landing skill shots on them painful.
So many parts in that video lay to rest so many claims that you cannot “solo carry” in the game.
That double kill on a full HP Deathwing and Zeratul alone was also very nice. How many average players would have tried to retreat in panic?
The boss steal against 4 players was also great. 99% of players wouldn’t have the guts to do that.
It’s honestly very fun to watch. If it’s not too much trouble, would be great if you shared your favorite replay as well. Would love seeing how you scale through the match.
but its also a compilation of the best clips from someone whos played for the thousands of hours required to reach level 999!
i don’t doubt he’s really really good, but we shouldn’t take a compilation like this as what should be expected under normal play XD
given enough time a tlv main could get a compilation of Erik soloing lots of heroes, that compilation would make Erik look amazing, but behind the scenes perhaps Erik only solos a hero once in a hundred games

I know, it’s just tiring to see “no, Alarak could never win this boss fight alone against 4 people” followed with “well, THAT guy could do it, he doesn’t count”.
Then apply the same formula to ranking up in SL, etc., saying “well, that guy can climb with 99% win ratio, he doesn’t count”.
If something is possible and someone does it, it’s possible. It doesn’t matter who does it.
If me or you can’t do it, we just aren’t as skilled as OP.

i think when people say “its not possible” what they mean is “its not expected”
its entirely possible for murky to win a 1v4 at boss,
but i really really really wouldn’t expect it to happen. 
and since Raizzan has played alarak for thousands of hours i’d expect him to have a lot of ultra rare scenarios for a compilation like this 
again, i’m not trying to say he isn’t amazing for pulling off things like this,
just that i wouldn’t expect them to be things that happen all of the time.
You can solo carry but it just req tons of skill to do it. But most bad players that has been stuck in bronze/silver for 3 years will come and say you cant since the trolls you get will try and drag you down at the same time.

I agree. Though OP’s micro skill is so high, I’m not surprised he is in Master (even someone who completely neglected pushing, macro play etc. can probably rank up if they have a few really good one trick ponies like OP)
The current Hots heroes (even those recently added or reworked) have simple structures (Kit + Build), though they are all more complex than the Dota2 and LoL heroes, however getting high levels with the simple structures is tedious.
You reached 999. Now you have nowhere else to go

As Alarak is nearly enter Level 14, my closest level being Raynor which enter Level 13, I will began to play as Raynor along with Abathur, Tychus, & Nova once buying Whitemane Announcer is done.
