Not really. He’d basically be in the same spot as anub. Maintank by engage, not by sustain, but anub has an ult that puts one player out of the fight for 8 seconds and specializes heavily against mages and is still usually ran as a second warrior.
Blaze only punishes low mobility comps with no real dashes or cleanses, the fire damage is not worth jack and you might as well call him oil for good reason.
Bunker has always been a higher tiers of play issue, not a lower tiers of play issue, if they are so deadset on bunker doing so much I don’t see why they can’t just make it an automated bunker that works similarly to tychus’s laser drill automatically casting firespouts at people and making it so that only blaze can enter it.
Oil dispersal was simply the best talent because it made blaze better at the one thing he relies on: Setting up engages. Making the change do less slowing doesn’t do anything for the rest of the talents, they are simply bad.
Yea, let’s call it obnoxious and that makes it a valid reason for nerfing. Was it broken? God no.
Not really.
For one I think you’re confusing feeding the flame with suppressing fire. Secondly feeding the flames mana return and CDR don’t add up to much. After 2 flame streams on one hero you can put down another oil, that’s still 8 seconds just to get value out of the talent and the mana return doesn’t even pay for the flamestreams, much less alliviate any sort of mana issues blaze would have against anything that knows to get out of the oil ASAP.
Meltdown being tied to pyromania makes the talent inconsistent, if you time it for the armor then you’re losing value on the talent, if you time it when you’re right next to someone they could’ve already hit you with spells you want to mitigate. The only time this is ever going to be OK is if everyone is lining up flamestreams for you, even then it’s unlikely you get that much value out of meltdown.
Overall, the talents are decent but the main issue is blaze’s core mechanics.
