Ok, so I happened to play matches in leavers queue now and then - when Blizzard thought that it is total fun to play a 10 Murky or KT match in ARAM for example. Anyhow, I’ve seen accounts there that obviously are bot accounts with the sole purpose to ruin matches for players there. They queue for matches but then do nothing else. They do not pick heroes (and already ruin draft by not picking the only healer or only tank) and don’t move until they drop and are replaced with real bots. They don’t rejoin either. Those accounts have mostly low levels and a very low winrate (they only win obviously if the other players managed to win with their bots by chance).
Whenever there are players not playing at all in leavers queue, there are others that either just leave after 10 seconds, too, or wait in spawn until the match is over. It just makes no sense to keep playing a lost match for 20 minutes in leavers queue. Waiting for the next match is often what is done then, to end this misery in 5 minutes and try again. This means, thos AFK bots actively sabotage matches and make others quit. It also takes way too long until a player finally drops after sitting AFK in spawn. During that time the enemy team often has destroyed your gate and half the fort. It’s just an uphill battle after that with a bot - also completely no fun because the bots have become so dumb so that you hardly win with them (if the enemy team has more bots and trolls then you might have a chance though).
The solution to this problem? If players ramp up leavers queue matches because they dropped due to inactivity again and again, then Blizz should not just add more leavers queue matches to their account but block them from joining a match for increasing amount of hours. If you drop from a leavers queue match you should have a 1 hour penalty until being able to queue again. If you drop again, make it 4 hours. If you drop again make it 16 and so forth. And at a certain number of leavers matches every further drop should result in several days of suspension. And no, this will not hurt the “real” players with connection issues. If someone had a bad connection and ramped up so many leavers matches in a row, his computer/network obviously is not suited to play multiplayer games and he should just stop. Other players should not be punished for someone with a constant terrible connection who is unable to fix it!
There are normally not many players at a current time in leavers queue which means, if you requeue after a lost match, you often play with the EXACT SAME PLAYERS again (also on your team - yes, they are not even shuffled into the enemy team)! This means, that AFK trolls will ruin match after match and the only way out of this loop is to stop playing yourself for several hours! So you as the real player are punished even more while the AFK bots can continue to just AFK queue and ruin matches! If Blizz happens to ban them one day (maybe, most likely not), they just will create a new account to do the same again.
Update: So I waited 8 hours and guess what? It keeps continuing. Another one of those bots in my matches…

If you are in leaver que just because of a mirror match then its your own fault. Maybe next time dont leave matches if you dont want to be part of what you hate.

That said, given your post history thus far, it looks like you’re the one that’s commenting on ‘every post with useless hot air’. Meanwhile, some of the other people around here have noticed that this is a written environment, breathing not necessary here
In ARAM, I’ve encountered many players who have made smurf accounts just to troll on, or test the limits of the report system, but the majority were human and not bots, what makes you sure they are bots? I get your frustration about players not “drafting” correctly in ARAM, but eh, as annoying as it can be that someone doesn’t take the only healer on offer, they are not breaking any rules by doing so.
I like your proposal, particularly for ARAM, leaver’s queue isn’t a sufficient deterrent for the kind of players you mention, they will just leave and spend a very short time in leaver’s queue. As most of these players have no intention of playing Ranked, many don’t care if they have multiple stacks of leaver games accrued, as they don’t have to wait much longer in leaver’s queue than a regular ARAM queue.
I would add one thing to your proposal, the AFK timer at the start of matches should be lowered from two and a half minutes, to one, or at least one and a half.
The OP’s post is edited, so I don’t know if they removed any text, but as it stands now, they are requesting a more effective punishment for those who intentionally leave games, or go AFK.
Its wtitten at the top of his post. He got a Murky/KT mirror and left and now blames the game for his own actions. Also I had never had any problems moving out of leaver que when i left games myself. People are willing to work themself out of it most of the time.
Sometimes I think people just make up fake stories on this forum to make thier post look better cause I have yet to see bots ruin games in leaver que those times I was down in it.
Last time I had actual bots was before the goal was changed from playing one game to win one game.
Or maybe EU server is just build differently when it comes to leaver que and US have yet to learn.
one of the issues of playerbase-based punishments is the outwanted experience of leaver queue would be “working as intended” and unlikely to see any offered improvement.
Other games have switched to denial players gameplay for set amounts of time, but that doesn’t seem very corrective or a deterent to change player behavior. Granted not much does change people, but if the leaver experience is a bad trap, that seems a simple fix of “don’t leave games” especially since one unwanted matchup isn’t going to be a simple time-fix compared to being stuff in leaver games with leavers.
