While I agree on principle, I don’t think that you’ll find more than 1-2 people out of a thousand who would do t his.
So it is a good trick on Butcher, but in reality I don’t see it happening.
But, maybe in the once in a blue moon that I play Butcher, if they have Cassia, or someone with similar “if stunned do X” talent, I’ll try to remember to pull it off! Really is a cool trick.
Is it ok to just spam AA, charged strike and rarely using the other skills(other than Ball Lightning)? It is too busy trying to stutterstep , AA and cast the other skills.
If I have to choose, is her Q more important or her W? E is used as a dash mostly am i right?
If you took charged strikes then you should definitely prioritize auto-attacking. However, that said you shouldn’t be ignoring the use of your other abilities you definitely should be using Q frequently to assist in your poke, especially since it hits multiple targets plus you can throw it at a relatively safe distance.
As for her W or Blind that one requires more judgement call on your end, either you need the damage boost in focusing a target or you need the blind to help peel or lessen the DPS of an AA hero (e.g. Varian). W is something you just have to learn with experience since this has applications both offensively and defensively.
As for E yeah that one you use sparingly due to the risk involved, usually use it as a gap closer or in the rare opportunity you can use it to finish off a hero (usually when they’re stuck in a CC-chain).

I havent read every comment but wanted to point out before I go that Fend is a useful ability for damage-dealing if for whatever reason in a given moment, hitting multiple heroes is something you want to be doing and CS is not up or youre blind/kill target has Evasion up or something, like it does decent damage for sure, but many have already pointed out the risks/loss of extra AA value usually associated with it. Dont consider it a dead ability used only for movement, its just that it often is. But the damage is actually good. Just don’t build for it lol, and you will typically get most value against clumps with Charged Strikes. Like use Fend on the mosh for god’s sake if CS isn’t available.

Sure, Q quest is a solid talent. Q build also solid.
Depends on the distance. Mounting is still faster for long travel, but for short lengths war traveler has the benefit of not getting cancelled by random dmg.
Yes, that’s basically how you play her. Use Qs to do a small poke whenever you can and use W mainly to peel or when you activate charged strikes. Even if you only hit the tank with her W it’s still good damage on them.
W is way more important. Q, as I answered above, is mainly for small poke and you can also use it to interrupt channels on objectives.
Whenever you Q between AAs, you are probably not stutter stepping. There’s nothing wrong with that.
You are totally right. Use it to close the gap so you can keep auto attacking the enemy or even to escape. Using her E for full duration is a pretty rare situation. Even if ETC gets the whole enemy team in a mosh pit, you will do much more damage by using W + charged strikes + AA + Surge of light + AA + Q + AA and so on. It’s much better than W + E.
(Like Jamuro said, if you don’t have charged strikes up, it’s more than okay to W + E a good mosh)
Use W + E more for waveclear when you know you are safe to do so.
That talent is unnecessary against Butcher due to the delayed trigger on it. Just cast it on top of yourself before he’s about to hit you, and he’ll be blinded.
1.) Charged Strikes - AoE in teamfights when your Blind/Fend combo is down. Increases single target as well.
4.) Ring of the Leech - Can save your life, as well as bolster lane sustain. Works well with Fend talents. Plate of the Whale can be a better choice, but it’s extremely niche.
7.) Impale - Better execution, and high burst. Two things Cassia needs.
10.) Either choice. Depends on both your team and theirs. Both will always have some kind of value. Your ultimate choice should also take into consideration the level 20 upgrades, as Valkyrie’s upgrade via Imprisoning Light is extremely powerful when used well. Ball Lightning and Infinite Lightning always provide some baseline value.
13.) Lunging Strike - Extra range and width. The range should honestly be a part of her kit; it’s a massive upgrade to her engage. The AoE buff is good for clearing waves, and catching runners in corridors, especially.
16.) Penetrate - Further building up your Fend to round out your damage. Great for shredding tanks in particular, as they don’t like to get out of your damage as fast as others. Martial Law is mega trash unless you have a sustained slow, such as Jaina.
20.) Situational - Imprisoning Light for Valkyrie is almost always the best choice if you took Valk, but Infinite Lightning and Titan’s Revenge depend on the enemy team comp. Infinite Lightning will always cause a team to spread, whereas Titan’s Revenge’s power against armor is… not as great as you’d think. It has great synergy with Charged Strikes, but its value just isn’t there these days due to how much armor has been stripped out. It’s not worth picking just for a single tank, but could be good against an Uther team if you didn’t take Valkyrie or are not confident in landing it.
