I have consistently lost matches with an Abethur on my team.
He’s the most worthless hero ever and a waste of a team slot. His buffs aren’t that useful in giving us an even advantage especially against a team with a high damage output.
Honestly who ever plays an Abethur is purposely throwing a game for me at this point. Play a hero that actually fights with us in team fights please. Abethur’s buffs are worthless in the long game.
Murky is more useful then Abethur.

A bad abathur is the worst bad player hero in the game. Or when your team dont know how to play around it.
sorry i have to disagree with you on this one. abathur is a great hero you just been playing with bad player’s who don’t know how to play the hero. that goes for all heroes in the game.
if you’re bad at playing a hero that doesn’t make the hero “bad” the problem is the player not the hero remember that.

abathur dosent give xp cause he dosent die unless who plays him is cukoo.
abathur can go lanes to get xp in objectives where a teamfight is needed lie raven lord or volskaya.
he will buff u handsomely cause he can shield, heal, and deal more dmg. if the hero dies its not abathur’s fault its urs.
and his ults are both awesome.

“Abethur” is just a gross misspelling which doesn’t show him as being bad.
Well, I disagree.
He is able to soak 2 lanes easily, 3 lanes with a bit of effort. Which means you can group as 4 easily.
He can take non-elite camps with a bit of effort early on (something that the other team will almost never see coming) and easily take them lategame, even while casting symbiote on an ally.
Could you quantify and explain WHY he is a waste in any detail?
I really should make a guide towards “taking camps as Abathur” sometime. It’s really powerful if you’re going locusts (if you’re not, it is doable, but harder). Getting 7-8 camps a game is easy, and it does not cost your team much.

The main thing to know about Abathur is that he will change your strategy on most maps, so you shouldn’t just play the same way you always do when you have one on your team. Make use of the vision he can provide, don’t worry about the lane he is in, but do ping when they are rotating to his area so he can stay safe.
Often you can use the fact that lower ranked people will think that seeing Abby is a free kill, and you can use it to set up some fun ambushes. Play conservatively early game, especially around objectives, and stall as much as possible rather than contest directly, so you can take advantage of his soaking XP, and once you hit level 10, capitalize on his clone.
His buffs can be amazing depending on which hero you are playing, and how aggressively you take advantage of it. When I am on Artanis, if my Abby goes Attack Speed hat, that is the sign for me to go hamfruit on the enemy!
Artanis with 55% bonus attack speed from level 16 onwards is fun! 
for most of the game it is just wrong to even soak all lanes as at least 1 hero MUST be at lanes, UNLESS it is a bossfight i will agree, but him soaking 3 is not only difficult, but for the most part ur team’s fault. so TECHNICALLY he has to soak 2 lanes

Is not guilty heroe a problem is in xp of player or his game skill.
I often see won game when is picked Abathur( not matter of what side team),than when play vs team with Abathur.
Even high % of player base ( EU, US) are so stup*d and dont pick counter heroes vs Abathur.
It is not that difficult.
Just takes good timing.
