A message to all Smurfs

I’m sorry you feel so bad in your real lives that you feel the need to stomp on players obviously not your skill level

I hope you all get better and learn much less infuriating ways to cope with your sad lives.

Why can’t you take it as a challenge Melke? I’d rather play with/against smurfs than with players, who are ignorant, don’t know basics and brawl&feed for days. :joy:

This, I may not be a skilled player myself but at least facing smurfs challenges me to the limits while playing.

Where is the challenge playing with potatos who accidentally step into towers and die? Who miss Stitches hook on a target who stood still for 5 seconds?

Also, tho I don’t like losing vs them, it does teach a lesson to my teammates who think we have a free win because “their Valla is only lvl 39, we won already”.

Then all the fancy level 2000’s die 7 times each to that Valla while she has 0 deaths. Judging by level is bad logic.

Is there really someone, who thinks like that? It’s not hard to read profile informations from players… If I see a low account with 65%+ wr and a kda way over 4+ I tend to say he is a smurf. A.I games cutted, obviously.

I was thinking more along the lines of QM where you see the account level in advance. I mostly play QM these days due to less stress.

But there’s also a few of those in Storm league completely incapable of checking stats.
They think the game is instantly lost because we got a level 67 player. I filter that player’s QM and SL stats and it shows he has 86% win rate after 200 games, I’m pretty sure we will win the game.

Because maybe
just maybe
I don’t like feeling like I have literally zero chance when I play video games

there are challenges and then there are stomps, I would hope this makes sense to you or if you’re going to be daft just like you were with the medallion

there is a gap between morons who do that and Masters running around in Silver gold I like that middle ground.

Papa Smurf, you live at a time where rent was only 3 drachmas.

I never felt I had 0 chance, when enemys had a smurf, but rather I felt depressed when I see my teammates failing hard, because A) they don’t play the map, B) look at their minimap or C) can’t play their hero…

This is game is more team-dependend than Dota 2 or LoL, a smurf is only so good how his team allows him to be. Why do you think even pros can’t have a 100% winrate?

Because they fight other pro’s Duh

Now buzz off with your apolgizing for these sad sad human beings who just feel the need to stomp on people clearly their inferior becasue they are just so so miserable.

Other pros in low elo? We were talking about smurfs…

How can they be so cruel and teach the baddies to get better at this game. :joy: The only thing, where I despite smurfs, when they let themselves drop to lower elo and refuse to climb for just stomping bad players, but not players who gives their best and climb.

You think Smurfs can only be on one side ya dingus?

Kind of hard to learn when all that you’re seeing is a stomp fest from someone you know you shouldn’t even be fighting

Now take your apolgetics for these people and shove them where the rogues do it

Unfortunately there’s quite a few players on the forum who love to get beat up as it’s a learning experience the worse you get beaten

No I think most of them are just defending it becasue they partake in the sorrid practice themselves

I don’t think a maxed gold player would be smurfing that hard

There are many other reasons to smurf than to beat up on weaker players. Smurfing has been around pretty much since the beginning of online play and well before matchmaking systems that would force you to play opponents with a similar rating or even systems that would assign rating to you based on your wins and losses.

OK, then explain why people smurfed in games that lacked ratings and matchmaking?

I agree with you Melke. I’ve heard some people say that having people higher ranked than they are meant to is worse than having people lower ranked than where they are meant to.

People can deliberately throw games to keep their rank low but people can’t increase their skill (beside learning over time) in order to get higher ranks.
People who are placed higher will soon end up much lower than they were placed.

I think in my area there is way to many smurfs to the point where everyone in silver is a former plat/diamond to the point where silver is just a luck feast depending on whether you get the real silver on your team.

Can you explain the reasons?

I’d like to meet those smurfs in QM and ARAM. Pick up a few pointers. But in SL?
.
No.
