Anyone have anything like this? They have a hero they LOVE to have on their team because they synnergize with your main or they just work when they’re done well but the hero is somehow rare?
Cus for me this experience comes in the form of Blaze, easily by far my favourite tank to play my Qhira with but I never seem to find Blaze players when I solo Queue. Which makes me a Sad Panda.
I really like Arthas as a teammate since he is the tank that roots and has no displacements. He just synergises so much with all my protoss and I want him in each match but Is rare to get him or any tank at all.
I love to pick Chen just because the concept itself is a joke and he feels like a novelty joke hero, but I do brace myself for reports any time I pick him because people in general strongly dislike the pick (even though he is not even near D.Va levels of winrate).
Oh, and I never pick Storm Earth Fire (for maximum survivability). The funniest plays undisputably come from Wandering Keg. It is so unpredictable and chaotic it completely changes the way a teamfight plays out. It can also steal Boss camps occassionally.
(If you intend on keeping your friends and not making too many enemies, I suggest mostly picking him in Unranked draft or QM, not Storm League, unless you’re a world class Chen)
I wouldn’t count Imperius as uncommon. If anything he is overplayed and banned/picked in nearly every match. He has tons of overperforming talents like Flash of Anger which make him a must pick at the moment.
Gosh, I love that kickboxing monk, especially with Iron Fist. I love the idea of a very high damage hero who can also heal teammates. If enemies have no blinds he is so fun to play.
I told that the Archangel heroes being uncommon to pick of these 4 heroes I play Malthael & Imperius since belongs to it’s champions although I see many Diablo II & III heroes which 3 of it being a champions itself.
I have a 75% winrate with hammer before the rework. I know ages ago. I sometimes pkay her but every time I play her in qm, I’m more of a liability than a strength cause no one wants to be in my attack range or try peel.
When I am tanking, I love to have a good Murky on my team. It means I won’t end up doing something silly, like having to double-soak on Anub’arak. Even if I am playing a tank with good clear, such as Blaze or JoJo, I can focus on keeping the enemy’s attention on me, so the Murky can just run wild everywhere else. Stalling the objective, interrupting their rotations, and pushing hard in another lane with the four man let’s me use my skills as a tank, not as a cut-rate bruiser.
and wandering keg because its awesome,
leap over them and hit keg and push em deep into your base
i never got why people always pick the triple chen thing, it just gives a bit of damage,
Keg lets you leap to their backline and then put their backline whereever you want to!
and the CD is pretty short too!
Oddly, I like blaze being my tank when I play Maiev. His AoE stun and slows make it really easy to get big chains. I don’t often play Maiev in draft modes simply because she lacks strong macro to make up for poor teammates. Every once and awhile I’ll roll the dice and pick her. Those few games with an amazing tank player remind me why Maiev is so dangerous.
Here’s a reason Meaiv is a contender for My eternal Rival when I’m on Qhira
Maybe that will be the case when the people begging for hardcore IMeprius Nerfs get their way if they overnerf him.
