It’s not so bad for me. Only telegraphed cc like qhira is affected and only every 5 mins.

Tank mains or cc mains think differently

And guitar playing cows because you can do unstopable + powerslide

Fools are the ones who think that medallion is bad for HotS

Nope fools are the ones who think it’s good for HOTS
It’s screwing over heroes who aren’t a problem on this CC meta more then the CC Meta it’s a cheap cop out for people to avoid ganks and in general just obnoxious in how easy it is and how impossible it is to work around without nerfing yourself.

Yeah I know you say this zeratul main.

I use it to escape Kelthuzads roots, so he can’t instagib me.

my zeratul is not even lvl10 yet lol,
im a greymane main,
or a diablo if it has to be tanking

Stop being against medallion for Yr qhira… She will get buffs to compensate if it stays

In fact how is zeratul more advantaged than any other hero? The medaillon does not prevent stun dog pile to death.
It still is a gamble to pull off.

I can see how medaillon is bad for the top players because they actually have supports that push cleanse and they may not need another layer to prevent a kill window.
But since the rest of the players prefer whinning about CC instead of being less bad we get this…

Imma white main.

and a valeera main but lets not talk about that right now

Or just salty Qhira players, who cannot faceroll their opponents anymore like Carbot told us. :joy: Or like Alarak would say:

“How terrible unsatisfying”

it’s not?

What is likely happening is that you (as most of us) remember the bad far more often than the good.

I don’t think that Medallion is a good thing to stay long term, but I don’t see the harm in it lasting the rest of the season.

Remember the MS changes? That was more impactful for heroes with skillshots (who are most/many of the heroes that medallion impacts negatively) and people got used to the extra MS. With a few abilities getting minor buffs over time.

I think that the medallion is not relevant to at minimum 90%+ of the games played, just like talent choices are not relevant to 90%+ of the games played.

I could pick the “worst” talents ever level for Hanzo, and if I’m really good at Hanzo, in almost all ranks I could win more than I lose with him. Somewhere in Diamond that would hit a wall.

I have a love hate relationship with the medallion. It’s impact is hardly noticeable in the majority of games.

It’s a great addition to the game in the form of:

  • promoting riskier and more rewarding playmaking potential that would not have payed off in long term
    • medallion before using an ability with a mandatory cast time
    • escaping ganks that you would have died from without the medallion
    • diving in enemy backline without immediately becoming dead meat
  • correctly predicting unpredictable incoming crowd control
  • further increasing the skill ceiling of the game to better differentiate between a bad player and a good player
  • baiting out enemy medallions
    • for example: jump towards an enemy as Muradin while your team is behind you > enemy uses medallion in hopes of correctly predicting your incoming stormbolt > you correctly baited out the medallion > immediately land stormbolt to confirm kill

It’s a bad addition to the game in the form of:

  • remembering you have an extra button to press
  • being binded to slot 6 by default
    • easily fixable though
  • some heroes are going to be way tougher to play and get value out of
    • tanks in particular even though they are one of the least played roles
  • attempting to achieve that extremely satisfying clutch medallion right as you are about to die, but still end up dying, wasting a 5 minute cooldown
    • you don’t realize how often this happens in quick match lol
  • the developers now having to take into account medallion when making balance changes

So far, I lean more towards being for medallion for the sake of most games that will never be decided based off one person’s perfect use of medallion. I always imagine situations where something else happens instead of reality, like what if someone uses medallion to correctly predict cc than someone who doesn’t bother to use medallion? Alternate universes people!

This , it would likely be very noticeable on super high, coordinated level of play where defensive cooldowns would be rotated.

It is not that significant on most of us gameplay most of the times.

People need to stop pretending it has an incredible impact every second of every game.

For qhira mains I could see how they will remember the one time every 5 minutes (less if they spread their swinging around multiple heroes) and die because of it. But then I told them stop playing like Zed and more like letting the other heroes engage. It’s a big debate on if only the tank/bruiser should be able to engage or not because there will be times you catch someone out and would want to bursts them down to make BIG PLAYZ.

Blizz support is just that’s all. so don’t expect more than. :upside_down_face:

I like it as a flavor of the season thing, I don’t think it should stay though.

Why would we want to change your mind?

You want 2 + 2 = 5 and we don’t care if you do. We also don’t care if you won’t change your mind?

The primary flaw in your argument is saying “So many heroes” when you just mean YOUR favorite hero, Qhira.

Getting old fast w/ these
