Why the hell would anyone pick falstad for AA build over any other dedicated AA hero. One of the lowest HP heroes with the only real AA improvement at level 20.
The only viable build is Q boomerang where you can oneshot half heroes in the game. Even W build is better than AA falstad.
Most powerfull Q build is with trait at lvl 13 and 16 by less CD. But not against divers. W build is sustain build and can easily counter by any single target healer. For example : by Q 's Anduin - one of the most popular healer right now. Most of my games with a W 's Falstad it is no dmg. That is why I prefer the hybrid builds.

AA build can destroy tanks after level 13 with the Sustained Winds talent. There is little other reason to take it - and even then I’d prefer W build.
The only time I go full AA is outside SL or QM, so in ARAM when I’m picking Falstad and the enemy has two very heavy heroes I can do little against with just W build or Q bursts.
Playing his AA build is also risky and requires perfect positioning, it’s not possible to pull off unless you have a pocket tank or healer making sure you don’t get gimped while AA’ing their heavies.
Falstad is very vulnerable and susceptible to just getting instantly gimped, even his barrel roll escape can be interrupted. That’s why I don’t like AA build in the average game.

Focusing tanks is the safest thing to do, so high ranks focus a most forward targets , and this is usually a tank or bruiser. And if this is a tank without kinetic armor or no blinds, then why not take AA? Especially against healers with high CD. For example : Uther, Stukov ( most popular right now is E build), Reghar( most popular build right now is W).
