600 points lost when disconnection not fair (again)

Hi, yea, It’s me again, I was playing team league with my team, and sometimes my internet service provider performs a server reset for 1 or 2 minutes, I don’t know exactly what day but is between 12am and 2am. I was in the hero selection and this is the third time in this season that this is happening exactly in that moment, I lost 600 points and now I’m in my demotion game to platinum 3, I’m trying to reach diamond before the season ends. I’m very upset because is time lost, I agree with penalization games when you have the leaver status but man, I can’t control what my ISP is doing. I spent a lot of money not only in heroes of the storm but in world of warcraft either and I have a fan page where I post videos relationated with blizzard universe and all I ask is a fix for this.

There’s no way for Blizzard to know if is your internet failing or you dodging a draft you don’t like.
So there is no solution for that.

I know that, thats I why wrote: “I agree with penalization games when you have the leaver status”

They could still give us the option to rejoin the game, even if we dc during the draft :stuck_out_tongue:

Don’t play if you have crappy internet. Simple as that. Would you rather have DCed during game and make all your team lose 200+ points?

The ISP server restart thing is BS, they have backups for that. And even if it was the real cause, get a better ISP or don’t play at all.

I don’t have a crappy internet, I don’t know why my ISP performs that server reset once a week, and trust me, if I could get a better ISP I’ll do it. In Mexico you can get only two or one internet providers depending where you live. I even bought an asus router with GPN to avoid this problems.

Your connection and computer are 100% your responsibility. You deserve the penalty. Plain and simple.

If you’re familiar enough with the schedule then just don’t play around that hour and day plain and simple.

The solution is literally just to make it -200 instead of -600

It seems you don’t understand: dodging should be punished heavily, otherwise tons of games would be infested with people just quitting because they don’t like how their team drafted.

The penalty is so heavy in order to completly avoid dodging: that way even if you don’t like the draft, you would still playing that match and at last try, instead of just alt+F4 and make other 9 people losing their time waiting for another queue.

But I’m sure you already know that, since is so plain and simple, honey.

You get punished even if it’s Blizz’s fault. Many people have said to remove the MVP screen because it’s pointless. I agree with that, but my added reason is the game does not record your win or defeat at the point the core is destroyed, but rather after : core explodes, map scrolls, load mvp screen, mvp screen, load score screen, score screen, leave game, win / loss recorded.

All those places are a chance for the game to hang/freeze, making the player force close the game to reset it only to be awarded a loss and a penalty regardless if you’ve won the match.

Thats why I bought a very good router, I can’t control what my ISP does in their servers.

I can play only in that schedule, I work before that.

Yea, I agree with that, they have to change that line of code and we good.

I don’t know if disconnection problems are not normal in countries like USA, but is a common thing in countries like Mexico (doesn’t matter which ISP you have), even if you have a good speed and buy a good router.

Your very good router cannot undo what ISP does. better change ISP or don’t play. Your call

You can only play the game one day a week at that very specific hour? If the rest of the days and hours are out of the question how long have you been playing exactly and only found yourself complaining now, because this has been a penalty for a very long time.

As Moonshadow notes you’re just out of luck not playing if this is your only real period to play, because the penalty is not going away nor will they make exceptions.

You know… that if you don’t want to try you can just quit at the start of the game instead of during the draft and get -200 right? What’s the difference whether you quit at the draft screen or you quit at minute 0 of the game, either way you get to dodge the draft. Are you proposing that if you quit at any time in the game you should get 600mmr penalty?

In fact, blizzard should encourage people to draft dodge instead of quitting in the game because draft dodging affects only your own mmr, whereas quitting when the game starts although it deducts only 200 points for yourself, causes 4 other teammates to lose, and 9 other players to have no fun for 20 minutes.

Dude, one day, hopefully, when you are smarter than you are today, you will look back on this post and realise how unintelligent your post (and the people who upvoted you) sound (I hope that day comes, for your own sake, I mean I don’t want to feel superior but when you have people posting garbage like that on a daily basis, it is difficult not to)

After that, I think that nothing else can be said.
Thanks, honey, to let me save my time instead of wasting it trying to explain something so simple to someone who clealry don’t want/can’t understand it.
