14 losses in a row in leavers queue. Good bye HoTS

This has never happened before, and never will again. 14 losses over a 24 hour period in aram.

Just uninstalled.

Yeah, gotta love the algorithm corrections

I’m sure there’s more variables than just the algorithm

In all likelihood, it probably won’t. That’s my record too, and it never happened again. Probably didn’t help that I was trying to practice new heroes I wasn’t good at.

My record was pretty average before this slightly above 50%. I’m good with 75% of the cast and was on fire often and won mvp at least three times.

I just can’t comprehend what happened.

Is this legit? It feels like an april’s fool.

Who even cares about losses in ARAM?

That’s impressive if true.

MVP is meaningless.

You just lost a bunch of games it happens.

The most heartwarming comment in this thread and the best advice.

OP, if you lost that many games, you might have just been having a bad day. I’ve never had that bad of a losing streak in ARAM, but I think I lost 9 in a row once. That was due mostly to me, I was tired and wasn’t really aware my concentration was impaired.

To echo the sentiments of the friendly person with the Panda Avatar, take a break from Hots and return when you’re ready. You noted yourself that you’ve never had such a bad losing streak before, so it’s most likely a statistical outlier, one you’re unlikely to experience again.

The responses of the forum take the same approach they have for several years

  1. it must be you
  2. these streaks happen, totally normal

the rest of us: The matchmaker whether a bug or just stupidly designed gives you unwinnable matches.

The usual issue is that people just want to call something ‘stupid’ because they’re not actually interested in understanding how something works, let alone caring what they can do about it.

Hi, I have this magical thing called a “job”. My job does not have blizzard, riot, hi-rez, or valve influencing the “matchmaking” for the customers I encounter. However, a very common gripe that I have consistently found is that those that chronically call things “stupid” (that they don’t understand) tend to have a more frustrating experience that magically disappears once they realize that some information, perspective, and experience broadens their understanding.

On a similar note, I have observed that any time I play a new game, I get just as frustrated with that game when I don’t understand, don’t observe, and don’t learn. The fundamental skill “everyone else” seems to forget is learning how to learn so they can actually apply their abilities in a meaningful way.

People that line up to the blame queue tend to neglect how to expand their understanding because they’re already convinced they’re “right” when they demonstrably are not.

Here’s one of the magic secrets of the universe: the amount of information we don’t know is greater than the amount we do, so everyone by default is “stupid”: they were born not knowing anything, and it pretty much stays that way till they actively involve themselves in learning and improving.
