Zarimi Priest now tier 1 deck hsreply

Hsreply showing Zarimi Priest 61.15%, and the only worst match up is BBF leech DK.

Thats why i am seeing the deck so much it is 50 percent or more of my matchups right now on asia seever at d2, i am so suck of olaying against the sane deck over and over and over again.

I think ppl are playing it cause the deck is so simple and the combo is so easy to pull off, there is almost zero decision making in the deck other than when to play your three board clears

i didnt notice any changes on the zarimi priest i played agaisnt

what did they add to counter protoss rogue pirate rogue aggro paladin and shala paladin?

Whelp and pretty pettl peddlr on turn 1 and 2 every game lmao and the buff hits him from hand

Another cosmic big bang odds event that happens against every priest

If that is their start its safe to concede. But the dragon priest does slow down after turn 4. I think the new event quest has people playing it more / refining it.

The deck really is a stroke of genius. It is missing nothing. It functions so perfectly and is so consistent and offers just about a zero percent to lowroll with a 80% chance to high roll

Funny, Zarimi priest was at 68.2% winrate just last week, so I guess it’s actually getting worse.

Ofc it’s getting worse. Without nerfs, it’s impossible for a deck to gain in strength as time goes by, because two variables work on pulling it down at all times:

a) the more games are played = the higher the sample = the lower the winrate due to how numbers work,
b) people learn how to counter it.

Use brains, please, this is a thinking game.

Oh no, I know all that, I just brought it up because the OP believes that the deck seems infallible when really it’s the opposite.

It got me to Legend from being stuck at D2 in 8 straight wins. I good to nerf it now :stuck_out_tongue:

Are you sure about that? Rankings reset next week

Yeah, I will play some sort of homebrew till I get stuck and then be a meta shill to hit legend, maybe.

I am torn though because I have always liked the dragon concept.

I played the deck… 70% of the cases i had Naralex, Ysera and Zarimi in hand at turn 8. Thats GG at turn 8. Huge tutor, huge mana cheat and extra turn.
I wonder why are people crying

Turn 8 is even a turn late in most cases. By 7 their early plays have chipped enough dmg away from the opponent for only a portion of the combo to come down and close the game.

The deck “came back” because it was never bad to begin with.

We could always make viper viable again, bring back infestor!!! Hahahaha

Viper is much better than dirty rat because at least whatever is dragged out is getting hit, you play dirty rat and drag out Naralex or Briarspawn drake without enough damage to kill it, you just gave them a win

You are seeing inflated win rates because it’s the end of the month and lower skilled players can’t handle it. At D0nkey’s it’s bad right after it goes out of diamond for weeks. My MMR isn’t horrible so when I see ~50% right after diamond I usually find it a bad deck even in Diamond.

Yeah I don’t understand this trend among a couple people saying this is a bad deck. I don’t know if it is an ego thing or what but its clearly not a bad deck. It has to be some kind of a flex thing. Like denying this decks is good makes people feel like they are top tier players or something. It is obviously a great overall deck. Not really interested in stats from a pocket meta that is not representative of all ranks of the game.

It’s not a trend. It’s the collected stats. It’s just bad win rate right after it goes out of diamond.

That makes it bad even inside Diamond for some people, because their MMR may be high.

The meta is still shifting. The reason Zarimi became better is that less people are playing super agressive decks. Zarimi basically autowins, if it goes to turn 8. Its winrate drops when more agressive decks, and rises, the more slower are around. This is also why the winrate changes at higher ranks. Legend has a different meta than diamond and the top ranks have their own meta too.

Oversimplified: At the end of the month, all people who play Drunk Paladin are already legend, so Zarimi has a higher winrate their.

Ok. Acceptance is a great start. No acceptance = no change.

And there we go, back to your normal self. Ego, ego, ego. Nothing else exists, but ego. At least that’s the feeling one gets when one reads your replies.

No, it doesn’t. It’s an attempt to teach worse players about the game. It’s a bad deck because it’s extremely one-dimensional and easily countered.

   :joy:

Ghahhahahahaa

By now, it’s evident that your ego couldn’t take a possibility that maybe there’s something about countering that deck that we know and you don’t, so it resorted to self-delusion instead.

Amen. Not interested in any source of information that conflicts yours.

Oh, dear.

Imagine having such a fragile ego you can’t admit you don’t know something and learn it, but you’d rather skip all that and live in delusion.

What world are you living in. I hardly ever even play against this deck. Granted I am only at 4k legend but the deck is far from the garbage pile everyone says it is. It has a positive win rate overall and a-lot of people like playing it. It has also helped a-lot of players hit legend. Im not saying it is tier one but its most certainly not a low tier deck.
