Mage has the druid tourist: ramp package would be a great addition to support a Big Spell Mage archetype and, unlike warrior, mage doesn’t have the tools to cover the weaknesses of ramping.

Druid has the warrior tourist: nothing in the warrior set is defensive, but it is a greedy, expensive, snowballing package that would fit very well what druid would like to do with extra mana advantage.

Warrior has the mage tourist: gets access to nice spells, which is new to warrior, and most of the package supports a control archetype very well.

Hunter has the paladin tourist: do I need to say more? Hunter would love those cards.
And boom, THIS MAKES SO MUCH MORE SENSE. Like, honestly, the expansion would be twice more fun with these changes. Hire me blizzard my inbox is open

It does but they wanted to give classes a entire different aspect.
As for mage…
Don’t play. It sucks.

People insist that making spell mage into a deck was a 100% good idea that would 100% not impact future releases.
I agree the tourist choices were bad. They should have been COMPLETE opposites.
Druid getting Mage was so dumb. Let’s give the spell damage boosting class archetype access to cheap mage spells that do damage, what could possibly go wrong?
Druid should have gotten Demon Hunter or Death Knight.
Mage should have gotten Warrior.
Etc.
The entire thing was poorly thought out.
They did the classic move of being so scared of rogue they didnt make any warlock cards you would even want. And then pushed rogue to use powerful neutrals like lamplighter (keleseth, alexstraza, et cetera) because rogue didnt get any tempo gameplan of its own
The burgle packages are always so painfully slow and value oriented they only win against decks that want to run you out of stuff. Except you cant beat control warrior anymore because boomboss turns the matchup on its head when in the past that is one of the only matchups you could win with it
