X11 Star Bonus observation

I’ve finished in Legend for multiple seasons but I got the 11 star bonus this time around because I try harded for a better finish at the last second.

Observation.

I finished one time at ~1300 legend and got x10 star.

This time finished ~700 legend and got x11 star.

Somewhere in there is the break point.

I assume you are likely to get x11 star bonus if you FINISH top 1,000… ~500-700 being around the top end of the cutoff…

Also, rank in Legend does appear to be correlated with your actual MMR.

Not saying that it’s impossible to get 11 star bonus without high Legend rank…

Just saying that a higher Legend finish will practically guarantee it.

It’s been generally observed to be top 1k. I didn’t get a 11 x bonus for finishing 2k a few seasons ago.

Yeah I’ve never seen anyone claim to crack top 1000 but not get 11x. But outside of that it is hard to say since you cant see your true mmr. I’ve got it in the 1100s and 1600s and missed it in the 1400s

From everything I’ve heard, just getting Top 1k is not enough to get the 11x modifier for Wild, so it is likely that it is also based on how many are at Legend rank.

I’ve had x11 stars bonus several times at Diamond 5 and 2k+ Legend.

I think it also comes down to how you got there. For instance, I finished November ~2k Legend and got the x11 bonus, but it may be because I finished my climb on a 11-0 run to get there, I stopped playing ranked after my first loss (was aiming for the 12 ranked wins in a row achievement).

Does it matter where you are at the end of the season or the highest result during the season?

End of the season if you want 11 stars for the most part.

I get top 200 Legend throughout the season but tend to play meme decks and tank rating so it doesn’t get me 11 stars if I lose a lot regardless of where I was.

Ah, then it’s something that doesn’t suit me.
One time I was around 1400 (wild), but I didn’t bother with “rank top 1000”; if I have to maintain top 1000, I would miss the fun aspect of the game (it makes sense, otherwise anyone will eventually get 11x)
