Would you play Moroes in Battlegrounds

One Night in Karazhan has some “underwhelming” cards, but would you play Moroes in Battlegrounds?

Legendary · Minion · One Night in Karazhan · Stealth At the end of your turn, summon a 1/1 Steward.

Well yes. But depends on tier

Tier 2 its tpo strong, tier 3 i think too weak…

yes, free triple every three turns

As a hero? If the steward was added to hand it would be ridiculous op, as it would be a free triple every third turn, if you needed room on board it would be terrible as you would need 3!empty spaces for the effect which of course wouldn’t be feasible in endgame

This would be a great minion to see on Tier 3. Make is happen Blizz.

Thats alot of board space as crappy 1/1s though. You would get some nice triples but you would be losing alot of rounds to do it. I think it might be ok as a tier 3.

unless you get khadgar, you get a triple every 2 turns instead of 3, sell the golden token to get to tier 4, get a golden tier 4 (T5 minion), get djinn, and then win.

you get two moros and 1 khadgar, you get a 3 free golden minions in four turns, afk into moros and khadgar, sell non golden token go to t2 get another khadgar/moroes for another triple, tier up to tier 3 dont use golden minion, get another golden + 2 tokens at tier 3, tier up to tier 4 use the two golden minions to get 2 T5 minions (get djinn or shredder or nomu), sell a moros (still get 1 golden at the end thanks to saving 1 regular token), stay at t4 use golden token get another t5 (into djinn/nomu/ baron if you have djinn) upgrade to t5 after getting t4 upgrade, bam you win easy.

or alternatively 2 khadgar and moroes does the same thing, having just one of each is still perfectly fine since your 3 minions disappear at the end of your turn giving you space for 1 extra minon

I’d definitely love moroes into the game it’ll make me win easily.

If i wanted to top 8 then yes. You give up 2 spots for 2 1/1 to get 1 gold or you give up 4 spots over 3 turns for 1 triple. It would be nothing more than a noob trap.

The problem with using moroes to get triples is all the space it takes. You need 4 spots. 1/1s dont win battles so in the meantime you gonna get hammered.

This is the conclusion I got to along with others I discussed it with on a Discord server.

Moroes would be a very powerful play in the first 3 turns, after that he becomes a lot worse since you don’t have as much space to utilize the tokens properly if you want to live.

That Stealth would probably be another disadvantage: Stealth in BG would probably translate into “won’t be attacked if there are non-Stealth minions” (opposite of Taunt), but you WANT Moroes to be attacked in BG because it’s nothing but a meat shield in combat, and unless you expect DS Taunt you don’t want it in first place to get out of its Stealth ASAP because that’s 2 otherwise useless attacks in a row (including the 1/1 it spawns next to it).

It’s far too risky vs the reward, and they seem to be intent on increasing the power level of units in battleground. If all units did 1 damage I would love to take this.

I think Heroes that dominate the early game are something we should steer away from, even if they aren’t tier 1. It just makes the slow-start heroes worse when half the lobby is chipping their health away turn 1-6, so by the time they reach tavern 5 they’re one highroll away from losing, or worse they get stuck on tavern 4 just to stay alive.

It’s a fun idea with risk-reward but not healthy for the overall game.

…Actually, it’s probably not as risky as it seems. You’re talking a weaker Eudora but it only needs three 0-cost digs. After 2 triples you ignore the HP.
