Witch Deck Beat Asteroid Shaman?

I mean, completely erradicate with more than 100% winrate, a deck make the shaman player regret the day he born.

Or this is the new tier 0, GODLY unbeatable deck like the old days of midrange shaman?

Grunter hunter and Libram paladin look like its worst matchups according to the most recent VS report

My spell shaman has close to 100% winrate against it, but it’s weak to other decks in the meta currently, so only try that if you simply want to make asteroid shaman players miserable

Those don’t usually run Thrall’s gift, but mine does, so it’s sort of a hybrid between spell and swarm ones

If you end up with 7 mana somehow, you’re doing something wrong. No asteroid shaman should survive 7 turns against this atrocity.

EDIT: Elemental Mage is another counter

I mean, nothing truly dominates good decks most of the time. But I did have some good success today with control hand warlock, lots of card draw and big minions and buckets of healing makes you pretty resilient to asteroids.

I am palying with burglar rogue with Tess and the 7/7 demon making the deck infinite.

It is fine against everything, no free wins but not hopeless either, except asteroid shaman, I have 0% winrate against them.

Try pirate shaman, pirate demon hunter and cycle rogue those decks should eat asteroid shaman all the time.

I was playing amalgam hunter after the nerf to Reno and it was working well against the meta including asteroid shaman, no one expected it! That was until pirate shaman became a thing… Now with the popularity of pirate shaman i’m back to the drawing board…

It’s around tier 3, it’s not even close to the best deck shaman has (those being just aggro and big shaman).

This sounds like it’s fairly vulnerable to asteroid’s game plan. Slow grindy value won’t beat them unless you can gain like 100+ armor.

How I beat them with starship rogue is just playing both defense crystals and then bounce exodar repeatedly while regenerating the defense crystals.

The deck literally doesn’t have enough damage to kill you while you do this.

Other aggressive decks just kill it before it starts drawing big asteroid chains.

So, it is not the deck it is strong, it is works a hard counter for my particular deck, ok, fine.

Thanks.

To have more than 100% win rate, you win all games and then Blizzard comes on top and give you even more points without winning. No deck can have 100% win rate because at the very least it can draw badly (and it has counter decks).

That part was a joke of course, hiperbole.

I think the deck doesn’t like wide boards with some resilience to chip damage. E.g. a libram is good because it has shields that nerf even the big asteroids and the HP of the minions isn’t too low. A bad example is a flood paladin because it has low HP and few shields and Eruptions wreck it even faster than asteroids.

It might not be the best counter for certain, but libram paladin is a good start to understand what asteroids don’t like seeing on the board.

There is no asteroid shaman, asteroids are about outer space and astronomy, shamans are about natural forces like earth fire wind water and heart
