My quests are piling up and res priest isn’t winning anything and so I switched to Odd Paladin but I keep coming across decks that seem (operative word) to be drawing their perfect hands.
Bad luck, I guess? Tried messing around with various versions of res priest but I was locked out of every match. My res priest needs more card draw but it’s such a packed list…
Anyway, I’m looking for a fast deck that can net me a few wins. I lose too much and I give up and not want to play anymore.
I don’t need to win every match - that’s impossible. But to lose five matches in a row is a bit frustrating.
Usually smashing some face with aggro helps but not even that is helping!
Bad day in HS for me, I guess. I’m doing my best to keep up with quests until the new xpac drops and I don’t play casual because it doesn’t earn portraits and netdeck’s aren’t allowed in casual.
I don’t care what class it is - I just want something hard and fast. (Thats what she said!)
It’s not the “fastest” aggro deck, but I had a blast with Memnarch’s Galakrond warrior. Went from lvl 8 to lvl 3 and 3 stars in one day. 81% winrate.
I highly recommend the deck. It’s pretty fast and it’s tech’d in just the right places. I made a secret mage concede on turn five because he left my Brann up and I followed it up with a Kezan Mystic. Still gives me a chuckle
Odd Paladin is actually a very weak deck ever since level up got nerfed. It wins mainly cause people draw badly. Would advice against it.
Fastest Aggro Decks are alao not necessarily the strongest. I have an Aggro Mech Hunter that can seal games on a curve by turn 5, but Secret Mage is by far stronger in that it has a wider spread of pressure that can still win games even after a clear.
Aggro really doesn’t work in this meta other than maybe Galakrond/Pirate Warrior variants and the usual mech Hunter. You do have Odd Rogue, Even Shaman, and Mech Paladin to work with as well.
I didn’t get many pictures of me playing Mech Paladin, mostly because I just hate the deck, but here’s just an example of the two decks getting their fastest openings.
It’s not invincible, and both these decks have a susceptibility to a Devolve, but they can threaten dozens of damage as early as 3. Hunter can threaten more earlier (prep a board on 2, Leaper activates on 3), but Paladin is a bit more reliable and brutal (tends to lay its first major threat on 3).
Basically, they’re so fast that an Hourlock with the perfect combo opening will be dead before they can coin out Hour. That being said, they have a few weaknesses; a Devolve will screw over both, Mech Hunter is a hair vulnerable to Secret Mage, and Paladin’s particularly thwarted by Silence; I’ve lost Hunter matches versus Even Shamans to a Devolve or a Mage’s Flame Ward I couldn’t play around, and Paladin against Odd Paladin to an Owl or a Priest packing Mass Dispel, so it does happen.
pirate warrior is the fastest and yet best performing true aggro (face and spawn) deck in wild; mech paladins and secret mage have more reach, but aren’t really that much “aggro”… or fast!
Mech Hunter and Paladin both have the potential for some very explosive early turns using Galvanizer & Mech Warper. For Hunter Metal Tooth Leaper is the payoff while Paladin focuses on Magnetic minions and hand buffs.
Compared to these two, Dragon Hunter and Secret Mage are far more Tempo/Mid-range style than Aggro. Not that either of them are weak, but they’re not as ball-to-the-walls SMOrc as the two Mech decks.
Are you really seeking an aggro deck? Or are you chasing a feeling?
Mhmm… You should do the following.
1.) Make a list of decks you want to try.
2.) Ask your friends if they will build them an duel each other with them.
3.) Find about 3 decks you become passionate about.
4.) Figure out what cards you need to make them.
5.) Enjoy the game again with your new decks.
6.) Suffer until expansion drop an have 2 days of fun before people end up making you feel bad about enjoying something from the new expansion (like DH for example).
I cannot offer an aggro deck that totally wins that early an often. However…
If you really hate Highlander decks. I can suggest a deck, but I know you don’t have all the cards for it.
Cube Warlock running Bad Luck Albatross will murder Highlander decks. Cubelock is powerful, an it’s more than powerful enough to ditch your rank standing.
If you want the power, you’ll have to settle for playing a style not aggro. But it is an offer to end your suffering… queue demonic fel music here.
If those are the only cards you’re missing, it’s worth it. However typical new expansion yada yada dribble here.
Plus, it’s not always slow. Getting Doomguards early from Voodcaller or Skull can really hammer pressure. You should try the deck before crafting it though. I’d hate to see you spend dust on something you ultimately end up disliking.
