I’m not angry. I’m exhausted. I play a class that gets floorstomped by Warlock no matter what deck I run, and no matter what tech I include.
The class simply has way too many benefits from self damage without paying any price at all.
did you see discard warlock being played in wild after they nerfed some cards from it ?im guessign youf forgot about the druid deck they killed when they nerfed twig…
Did you see that every class you named still has viable decks in Wild?
Warlock is incredibly good in Wild.
There is no penalty for self damage any more with the right build.
It’s not worth keeping a deck around that’s doing stupid stuff like infinite extra turns starting on 5 just because it’s the only thing it’s good at.
Wild has always been an unbalanced format. It has never been a mode known for lots of deck variety for the highest power decks.
Except it has the greatest deck variety.
And the most powerful decks.
It might help u sleep at night to think Wild is silly… but its vastly superior to stan in every way.
I agree. I don’t miss Time Warp.
I do think it is egregious that Team 5 purposely killed every viable legacy deck for my class in Wild, and haven’t said a word about buffing or restoring anything.
Warlock has at least three decks, and two of them are impossible as they heal from damage and can even kill you from self damage.
Warrior has several.
Rogue has at least five.
It’s also the LEAST played format of ALL the available formats in the game. It might be fun for you but the majority do not think so. The only reason it still exists is for those that want to play old nostalgic decks.
You should feel lucky when they make any wild balance changes because frankly it’s not worth the time or effort. They make no money from this format plain and simple.
So I should be thanking Team 5 for what they purposely did to my class?
I should just play Warlock and post about it regularly… See how long it takes team5 to kill it.
It’s one class and it’s apparently been a big enough problem for them to take action on it. If you only play one class it’s on you to make it work. I am sorry you cannot play anything else but they felt one class was too dominant/degenerate.
Except that it wasn’t ever. Tier three when they nerfed secret.
There was another reason, and I would love to hear it.
And every class should have one viable deck.
Most in Wild have several. Warlock is one of the strongest.
Notice i used the word Degenerate in the comment? They considered the looping Time Warp effect degenerate and not fun to the average player. I personally thought they had solved this a while back with the apprentice nerf but i guess they felt it need more nerfing.
Time Warp was degenerate. No arguments there.
Glad it’s gone.
Just wish they had considered how weak the class is now in wild.
Warlock just crushes every single deck the class has. Same with Warrior, same with probably many classes.
It’s obvious they didn’t look that far ahead. I am actually surprised they made ANY changes this year. I just assumed once MS took over the reigns wild was going into maintenance mode.
I’m still convinced that in two years BG’s will be a separate game and HS will basically be just standard and wild will be there but untouched forever.
kabal lackey was annoying as hell before the nerf
turn one explosive runes is just annoying
but maybe they should make it so the 1 cost persists until you play another secret
also don’t overlook that they buffed kabal crystal runner’s attack by one Mal
Someone else who refuses to engage here said the same thing to me on Discord. They have been predicting maintenance mode for Wild now for some time.
Well, then perhaps they should have changed Runes, because the nerf to Lackey killed the deck. It not only was a nerf to Lackey, it made flakmage useless.
And the change to crystal runner?
Not nearly good enough to make up for it.
Who cares about Wild? Not Blizzard, that’s for sure. They do not and will not balance any new cards with Wild in mind.
This is true, but then why mess with it at all.
At any rate, Warlock is disgusting there, and if my class warranted nerfs in wild, then Lock surely does.
Not BS. Managing power creep is not possible without rotations. If you don’t like rotations, that’s okay, but stop expecting balance.
Not saying that power creep is automatically managed in a format with rotations, the power creep in Standard has been a little nuts lately, just that it’s possible. A CCG dev must power creep with new sets (otherwise the new cards don’t see play) and then the power level of the format can be reduced back to where it was a year ago by eliminating cards (rotation).

that’s okay, but stop expecting balance.
if this is true then why nerf a tier 3/4 deck?
Team 5 has said on more than one occasion that they only address wild when something is completely broken, but then they conveniently forgot they said that.
If their Word is not a thing, then surely they could limit Warlocks to something reasonable.
i’m not even sure what warlock deck is unstoppable for you mal
painlock? demon seed got nerfed, imprisoned horror got nerfed. blood treant and jailer of souls got nerfed. discard lock? tome tampering got nerfed. cataclysm got nerfed/buffed kinda.
