does any1 play APM mages in wild anymore? i know theyre out of the current meta, but there was a ton of them like a year ago during the barrens expansion.
id like to play something similar to mozaki thats up to date. anyone?
Saw Mozaki for the first time in weeks yesterday, killed it because of 40 he, he couldn’t finish me.
Happy to see it’s gone, degenerate OTKs that happen sooner than turn 12 ish are nonsense

APM mage is dead because of sorcerer’s apprentice nerf; they are still possible to play, but you need to discount your hand somehow, which requires extra cards and extra turns.
Mozaki didn’t use sorcerer’s apprentice, as far as I know; maybe incanter’s flow nerf was enough to kill it, I don’t remember.
I think a “similar” deck is anacondra druid:
- you need to play specific cards (celestial alignment, anacondra)
- you play a lot of cards for free (hence the AMP part)
- you can win the next turn thanks to the board and mana advantage
- you can also try an OTK with 1 malygos, faceless and the new 1 mana spell
It is probably more expensive, slower and more luck based than APM mage (without ice block, you can’t escape death), but it’s also more flexible, since you can try to win in different ways and also change some cards in your deck to change win condition.
I never played it, so I don’t know how good it is, or if it’s a meme deck, so do more research or wait for orher comments before using dust.
Or in a simpler way, the classic aviana combo, which is easier than ever thanks to guff
