Can we just take a moment and discuss how broken Mech Paladin is in wild. A four mana 4/4 minion that gives all mechs taunt plus divine shield?! Feels like a cheaper more OP version of “Enhance-o-Mechano”. How are stupid cards like this even a thing? Wtf are the devs thinking??
“I have an idea! Lets take an epic minion then buff it’s stats and turn it into a common. But wait!.. Maybe instead of only one ability we give it the option to give all mechs two abilities!! That doesn’t sound overpowered at all.”
Also Mech Mage is broken because of cards like “seafloor gateway” that enable zero cost mechs to be spammed. The recent expansion created cancer mech decks that have little to no weakness. I’m starting to lose hope for hearthstone as a whole until the devs take their heads out of their *** and get a clue. I’m growing tired of it, I know I’m not alone.

I don’t normally comment on power level because I avoid netdecks, but I actually do have a wild midrange mech pally that I built from scratch in like 15 mins last season, then basically took it from D5 to legend in an afternoon. Winrate felt like it was in the 70s and the deck essentially built itself, I think I adjusted like 2 or 3 cards in the process of refining/climbing and that was it…
I built the deck because it seemed cool (I love the dredge mechanic), and still feel that way, but I was pretty surprised when the deck was completely untouched in the last patch. No idea what the meta stats look like tho, and the mirror matches I played were vs a pretty different version of the deck largely built around power turns with mechwarper etc, so maybe I just got lucky… always a possibility lol.

Sorry, also 100% agree with this.

Board? Since when did people care about board in wild?
Here are just a few of the ways to deal with this:
Firemancer Flurgl + Toxfin board wipe
Defile
Dirty Rat their Bubblebot before they even play it
Plague of Flames
Urchin Spines
Literally any good board clear available to many classes in wild
Oh, and Mecha-Shark? Good luck trying to fill the board when I can heal to full twice and OTK on turn 9 with Mecha’Thun.
This card isn’t even that big of an issue in standard. Maybe can have slightly worse stats but overall this effect is not really too broken for 4 mana.
This is the wild format, if you’re looking for any fair interactions without ridiculous game swings you shouldn’t be playing that format.
Still weaker than pirate rogue
Wild has become less and less interesting/fun since UiS for me; I went from playing only wild (since DH release) to play only standard (after UiS in september)
Yeah it’s not perfect but I do feel like it’s been improving as of late (Switcheroo and Dragonebane Shot were much needed nerfs that happened pretty fast, for example). I think the biggest challenge is balancing standard and wild in tandem, the two formats have very different needs…
I’m a proponent of temporarily banning the really pushed stuff so that people can have fun with it in standard, then unbanning and changing with rotation to make the cards more appropriate for an eternal format. I’m also down to simply expand the banlist to be more in line with what other CCGs do to maintain their eternal formats… I just think they need to ban more stuff basically lol.
It would also be nice to have our own forum…

Don’t even get me started on the “ice fishing” I win combo that has made Shaman a joke to play against ever since that stupid combo was created.
It’s the format where crazy interactions go. Trying to artificially balance it defeats the entire point: for people to play with their powerful old cards and play a very powerful format.
Standard and wild are meant to have very different power levels. It wouldn’t be two formats if wild was just standard with more variety with cards that they could just print in new standard expansions.
Quest Hunter was already tier 2 in wild. It was nerfed mostly because it was a very unfun deck to play against. A format can be far more powerful and not need turn 3 OTKs.
And bans are just a sign of laziness. Why not use the digital capability of the game and nerf properly instead of being ignorant and pump out obviously broken designs just to sell packs?
If they want more balanced versions of older cards, they can simply print it in new standard sets instead of messing with wild. For example Tour Guide was a slightly weaker Kobold Librarian.
If you are letting a paladin keep minions on the board until turn 4, you are going to have a bad time regardless. Warlocks are king of removal, why are you not removing his minions?
You are asking why I’m not playing one of two Warlock decks that can counter the cancer that is Mech Paladin? Maybe because I dont find playing a deck just to counter the garbage that is now Paladin fun or enjoyable.
That is besides the point. The issue is creating cards like “Bubblebot” that is a cheaper more glorified version of Enhance-o-Mechano". Mech’s are broken enough without that trash in game.
So you are complaining about not being able to beat a mech paladin because you refuse to play the deck that can beat a mech paladin? I mean, really?
You expect me to play a certain deck just so I can beat mech paladin? I mean, really?
Demon Warlock. Control Lock. Even Lock are all hard counters to Agro. Add the new burn card and it will piss off Druids too.
