Wild is Dead to Me

Hoping that a Dev reads this and hears the feedback. This is coming from someone who would consider themselves a largely casual player. My rank usually peaks at Diamond.

Quest Pirate Warrior and Quest Hunter have both single handedly killed Wild for me. Wild has always been my favorite game mode. I have crafted tons and tons of Wild cards. It just isn’t fun constantly running into these two decks. It has completely sucked the fun out of Wild for me. I have not touched Wild in several weeks. It’s even less entertaining for me to watch Wild streamers like Roffle when you can see that even they get increasingly put out and frustrated by these decks that Blizz refuses to nerf.

Just filling out my comment card. Hoping it makes a difference. Please nerf these quests.

How is standard any better though, lock and shaman fest??

I’ve been playing Quest Rogue and have been holding up pretty well against both. Only at Silver 1… I’m sure it will get worse.

I never play wild. Why would anyone want to play with so very many expansions active? All the worst decks ever, combined with cards that were never available at the same time. Its sort of the entire point. Standard is much less aggressive, where they actually pay some attention to balance. So just play that.

wild is dead for me too

It’s not too different from standard actually, the same top 300 cards are basically the only cards that are playable, that’s only just marginally more than in standard and to me that is not really enough cards being viable.

Wild died for me a long time ago… but I really miss some old expansions. I’m confident we’ll get another rotation mode eventually.

what youre really saying is the ladder is broken…

Maybe they are fearful that it would cut into their profits, for this reason I am not entirely sure we would get it. For classics sake, I believe it’s that actually they ran the statistics through their database and found that most people would still have to spend to get the fullest from the mode or they believed that it would only be able to entertain people for a limited amount of time so they would eventually get back into modes that make them money.

I think if I spent 9k dust on a proper paladin deck or 12k dust on the shaman deck I could really be enjoying myself for a while, but that is so much more dust to spend than I will get back over a short period of time.

That’s easily solvable making old expansions cheaper, both in gold and dust. It’s not like anyone is buying The Grand Tournament packs in 2021. Also, they created a mode that no one asked for (Classic) that you still have to acquire cards for, so it wouldn’t be much different. My concern is about balancing, they would probably have to buff a few cards now and then otherwise only half a dozen cards would see play. Another possibility is a mode that replicates the meta at certain points of HS history, like for 3 months you can only play cards from Classic + Basic + Naxx + GVG + BRM + LOE + TGT.

Oh believe me plenty of people asked for classic and I for one am glad they made it. Though I wasn’t happy that they removed it from core and gave us kind of unusable cards to compensate, they did that because players like me had virtally half complete evergreen decks (like inner-fire priest and stuff) that mostly consisted of classic cards and because I am f2p, I can virtually never make proper decks with the newer cards without playing a lot and a lot so I can see some people probably cave in and pay now. Their initial solution to that problem was to slowly hall of fame all of the valuable cards from the set, but then they realized they were giving away far too much dust for free.

They can’t sell content that you already own, so lets say people really wanted year of the dragon or something, but a lot of people who bought all the cards then who have stopped buying cards would have zero incentive to spend and that’s why I theorize they will never do it. If in 10 years time they find that <3% of their player base played during year of the dragon, then they might consider it.

So that’s why duels included that you needed certain scholomance epics to unlock certain hero powers and that’ll likely keep changing so you need new cards to unlock features of it even though it’s largely legacy content.

Which Rank? I faced very few locks and even fewer Shaman from Platin 10 to Diamond 10. All i got were libram/buff Paladins, Pirate Warriors and Priest. And a Drood here and there

See you all in a few months!

playing against hunter and warrior is often fine. its fun to try and win against them. even if you dont at least the games go by pretty quickly

only decks i dont enjoy playing against are priests. all they do is build walls, restore a billion health, gain hundreds of armor, then resurrect their walls fifty thousand times

To use this deck, copy it to your clipboard and create a new deck in Hearthstone

Its not a meme. Its actually legit. You’re welcome

Thinking of swapping one of the weapons for Boompistol Bully to make the Shaman matchup manageable. Seems to be fairly matched into everything else, and clowns on douchey OTK Mages.

In my opinion is Standard and Standard no ranked the only ones u can play Hs, wild is complete broken.

What is this new druid hero bs deck?? Play a cheap hero card for draw advantage and your mana caps out at 20? Then continue to resurrect the same bs lifesteal taunts for little to no mana? How is this crap even allowed in wild. Its basically resurrect priest 2.0

Haha I called out Guff as busted on that that other thread asking for called shots on good Alterac cards

Seriously, that thread is golden. I picked up my best piece of new deck tech reading that discussion too.

You think it should be allowed in Standard instead? I thought this is what Wild is for :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
