Wild cthun should be hotfix banned?

nope, it is not the correct card, c’thuin on its own is a fun and kind of slow deck,they printed new cards that broke it those cards should be targeted

Iskar#1488 just finished playing it and switched to odd hunter doing his climb.

If we’re lucky, instead of evaluating a warped meta as unhealthy and destroying 10 years of cards with a unhealthy card that warps the meta into aggro, we might see priest nerfed into the ground again with a new passive that makes it die 95% of the time to warlock automatically without a quest from past legends the month before.

This would balance the game by removing healing decks that get slaughtered by seedlock from matching into his even hunter. Balancing the game for the dev’s boredom whims when they could literally print anything they wanted to play.

nagalock was a deck literally invented out of thin air since a dev was bored and decided to break a mode where tons of people homebrewed, made fun decks, had variety. And played boring standard decks to climb to legend when they got tired played.

I want my flipping fun mode back not standard legend or boring netdecks all the time. I want FUN, screw winning, i’m already bored of it! I don’t want 80% winrate boring standard decks let me play my meme garbage again! if i can pilot any deck i want 20% above winrate i want to play whatever the crap i want again.

Encountering the same 3-4 netdecks after netdecks with almost trivial variation with a card pool 1/10th as big is just boring. Not even the meme cards are honestly that diverse, there’s so few cards in standard, i hate not having 1000+ card pools! I mean sure the creep is bad, it’s hard to afford it, but i really miss wild since discover is actually a mechanic that doesn’t give you the same 3 standard cards over and over again and actually makes you think of years of obscure cards.

Even if the power level is a bit lower without the boring reliablity of a discover 3 of 5 card pool.

Playing standard vs old wild, wild was a lot more fun for me. New wild is cancer and i don’t like 10 years of cards being killed for one power crept standard release turning it into warlock mode and stormwind mode. The power level of the set is only balanced in standard with broken vs broken.

It’s not healthy for wild to be a turn 6 aggro vs aggro vs aggro vs warlock standard powercrept format imo for long term health and 10 years of cards.

Im not entirely sure which bug you were talking about? I thought you meant the demonhunter combo deck bug where it doubles your left and right minions and cthun’s attack gets doubled twice on the subsequent duplicates?

regardless if its an actual bug fix the bug ? don’t destroy perfectly good cards that have been fine for more than half a decade ?

you going to explain how these 5 cards all break c’thun ? surely you can nerf one and it fixes the issue ?

Probably the Cthun maxima bug that’s an otk just boosting Cthun once. Only mage ice block can allow the opponent to survive that.

ok so I did a quick look …

“Summon a minion from your deck. It attacks the enemy hero, then dies”

it can be fixed without nerfing c’thun possible fixes…

add “silence it” after deck

or change "the enemy hero " to “a random enemy”

or add "if you have more than 1 " to the start of the text

OR MOST SENSIBLE ONE!!
fix the bug so it just doesn’t randomly gain buckets of attack ??? c’thun does not need nerfing

How about: fixing the bug?
This bug came out with the latest patch, so it shouldn’t be hard to find a solution for it (just look at the old code)

They could always just ban the face launching card, but that’s boring. Seedlock is kinda broken. Hate to say it but i want seedlock fixed first. They deserve each other for what seedlock did to the mode. Now it’s just aggro vs aggro vs aggro vs seedlock and seedlock. Now at least you can have “BUGS” as a actual archetype. Gee thanks 2021 blizz! I’m so glad you playtest this game so well and give us not the wonderful feeling of apathy, but actively previously trolled us on twitter!

Do you see how forced it is when i try to make myself pretend to be happy? I just want to play my fun decks and see the experimentation and fun deck format with 1000+ cards come back… Not the “Everyone netdecks a broken warlock deck that somehow beats a instakill glitch” deck.

Not to mention if previously bronze players who couldn’t get into silver with 0:3 winrates could go 30 wins straight with seedlock… That hardly screams… ‘balanced’… or skill testing to me vs broken. But hey, You guys can be fatigue warrior control purists.

I’m gonna be a “Seedlock doesn’t deserve to be any part of wild and i liked Reno better and want my 10 years of collection to matter again” Purist.

you asked if it was the correct target, I was just giving feedback sorry if it came across to aggressive, imo they should hotfix ban maxima because it effects less classes and less decks than temp banning c’thun would and is only a hunter go face card

cthun can still be summoned with the bugged atk value via any recruit effect, that can hit it

the bugged minion is the cthun not the maxima

but only the hunter one makes it immediately go face and win the game, everything else requires it stay alive 1 turn and no taunts be played

warrior could give it charge, they just need to survive long enough, which i believe is the whole hunter thing, just survive

its better to just ban the bugged minion tell its fixed

Yes, this is obviously a bug, and anyone playing it on ladder is intentionally exploiting it since Cthun hunter has like…never been a thing.

Why though? Why does a whole archetype, no matter how obsolete need to be deleted because the devs messed up some numbers.

It can’t be hard to isolate where the problem is, this just happened with the most recent patch. If there’s any Hotfix it shouldn’t be to ban Cthun but to patch out that bug.
