Now that the new rotating Core set has opened the door to allow Wild Cards to find their way into Standard again… What cards should NEVER be allowed to see the light of day ever again?

Let’s get the easy ones out of the way…

I could not agree more… Those decks(cards) made the game “standard” unbearable. They were Hof 4 a good reason a year before and will stay in Wild 4ever…

Jade Idol is another I could see never being allowed back.

Though, I wonder if it would be as powerful today as it was.

I play a Jade Druid in Wild, and with the Quest giving you both options of a Choose One card, it’s still going strong.

It’s even better in decks that don’t play quest because your quest decks gets ran over by aggro.

Rogue generally gets all the tools of a control class indirectly via the ability to play a flurry of absurd, undercosted damage cards, and they even have Coerce. They can already clear a board quickly. They don’t need a nuke.

That includes ad lot of cards that are needed to keep the game from being an aggrofest.

Oh, but I forgot

Nah…

Everything will probably go back sometime.

For baku and genn what I suggest is never allow both together again.

That will give space enough to escape the boredom land they created together.

Vargoth is played in a lot of decks in wild, and has even some uses in standard outside of Priest decks.
