I explained that if you want variety in f2p that’s the logical way to play. I have no issues with it. My issue is with people that think they should have every card ever the minute they start playing or decide they want it. What you’re doing makes perfect sense. I have no bad feelings you’re f2p. I still
you.
Edit is highlander priest any good in Wild? I could steal some of the key pieces from the mage desk to make it right?

Highlander Priest is one of the strongest Wild decks and has been for a while. At one point, it was the uncontested number 1 Wild deck. Currently, it shares Tier 1 with four other decks:

However, it’s a very expensive craft.
i get that which is why i’m trying to see if i can grab a number of the cards free. eventually i think i’ll have to craft reno cuz this account i am not putting money into. i think it’s from one of the adventures. i’ll look that over. the way people explain it it seems like its also something i’d like and it gives me a longer goal for this new account vs just trolling the forums. it’s a commitment to actually using this account i guess. lol
edit it’s included! hurrah

I made Reno Priest on the Europe server of my main account (I started on the Americas server) using a bunch of Hall of Fame dust and dust from disenchanting multiple classes’ cards.
- Shadowreaper Anduin, Reno Jackson and Raza the Chained are absolutely necessary
- Zephrys, Lorekeeper Polkelt and Kazakus are pretty important
- Bloodmage Thalnos, Mindrender Illucia or other legendaries are optional/replaceable.
- Spawn of Shadows is not a legendary card but it’s critical for executing the win condition.
- Hysteria, Mass Hysteria and Psychic Scream are very important board control tools.
By the way, you can unlock the first wing of The Frozen Throne adventure (Icecrown) for free via the Blizzard Store, do the prologue to get the free Death Knight and see if you get Shadowreaper Anduin. Actually, that’s how I got him.
I had to use 1600 dust to craft Reno, Raza, Zephrys, Polkelt, etc.
i could only beat him on my main account by doing the mage cheese strat. -.- you cheese for that mana reduction free card and the one that makes your secret free. then you eat it and then wait til you get the armor remover card and then hit him with the secret and then one shot him with your hero power. i tried as priest for like 6 hours. no lie. i’m not good at the game. and even then my tries with priest had 3475938745938745 HoF and wild cards this account doesn’t have access to. it’s a huge case of git gud, i know. but
Wow, you already unlocked the Arthas portait? That’s pretty impressive. I only just unlocked it recently. I was putting it off because I didn’t have any class cards for three classes. The card Mossy Horror helps a ton and I had one copy of it available.
https:// hearthstone.gamepedia. com/Mossy_Horror
you have to do it with all 9 original classes. i only did it on the one class cuz i suck. lol. i want it cuz i love pally so much but i expect i won’t get it until i’m much, much better at the game.
edit i was trying for the guldan one but ended up getting the stupid garrosh one. at least it gave me some dust. lol

Sorry, I misread your post! Yeah, I would wait on unlocking Arthas until you have a bigger collection but a general strategy that works pretty well is to play murlocs. For example, I used this list for rogue:
Class: Rogue
Format: Wild
Year of the Phoenix
2x (1) Murloc Tidecaller
2x (1) Murmy
1x (1) Sir Finley Mrrgglton
2x (1) Toxfin
2x (2) Crabrider
2x (2) Fishflinger
2x (2) Murloc Tidehunter
2x (2) Prize Vendor
2x (2) Rockpool Hunter
2x (3) Coldlight Seer
2x (3) Murloc Warleader
2x (3) Primalfin Lookout
2x (4) Felfin Navigator
2x (4) Fishy Flyer
2x (4) Gentle Megasaur
1x (6) Mossy Horror

Shaman is a little more complicated. It took several tries but I think I managed to win with this:
Custom Shaman
Class: Shaman
Format: Wild
Year of the Phoenix
2x (1) Evolve
2x (1) Revolve
1x (2) Bloodmage Thalnos
2x (2) Devolve
2x (2) Jade Claws
1x (2) Landslide
2x (2) Maelstrom Portal
2x (2) Tainted Zealot
1x (3) Bogstrok Clacker
1x (3) Brann Bronzebeard
2x (3) Desert Hare
2x (4) Jade Lightning
2x (4) Jade Spirit
1x (4) The Fist of Ra-den
2x (5) Doppelgangster
1x (6) Aya Blackpaw
1x (7) Earthquake
2x (8) Tidal Wave
1x (10) Eye of the Storm

There are some good guides online. I referenced several guides then made lists using the cards I had. I think I crafted an extra copy of Vicious Fledgling for the Hunter list I put together. Molten Giants are really good for Hunter but I don’t own any yet.
Custom Hunter
Class: Hunter
Format: Wild
Year of the Phoenix
2x (1) Adorable Infestation
1x (1) Demon Companion
2x (1) Overwhelm
2x (1) Resizing Pouch
2x (1) Tracking
2x (2) Fresh Scent
2x (2) Quick Shot
2x (2) Scavenger’s Ingenuity
2x (3) Animal Companion
2x (3) Deadly Shot
2x (3) Kill Command
2x (3) Stitched Tracker
2x (3) Unleash the Hounds
2x (3) Vicious Fledgling
1x (6) Deathstalker Rexxar
1x (6) Mossy Horror
1x (8) Call of the Wild

this is my main accounts cards. i haven’t played long at all (didn’t really play at all except to do quests at the start of the last two expansions and then stopped. this is the longest i’ve played at all. lol) and i’m quite proud of it considering i haven’t bought more than a little bit of stuff. most of it i’ve gotten from dust shuffling and crafting.

My advice based on personal experience is to focus on crafting one deck at a time. Once you have a good deck, you can use it to climb the ladder and get more rewards. More rewards = more cards & more dust to craft more decks, etc.
did i tell you i got both druid legendaries out of consecutive packs? i have no idea if they’re even good but idk what to do with them. they’re just kind of there. as far as crafting decks i’d rather do it for wild and just play cheap stuff to play standard. standard is a meme fest but pretending to be balanced. at least wild is honest about what it is. lol
Greybough is considered a meme card and Kiri is only used in Highlander Druid afaik.
It’s really hard to keep up with the Standard meta. Each new expansion could mean that your deck is now trash and you have to start over. On the other hand, good Wild decks are usually reliable and will stay good for years. So I work to make at least one viable Standard deck and one viable Wild deck on each of my accounts/servers, but it’s the Wild decks that are truly reliable because I don’t have to worry about them going out of favor.
So I think you have the right idea there.
(Examples: I crafted Guardian Druid and Spell Mage - both garbage now. I also crafted Evolve Shaman which after the nerf basically became a meme. Face Hunter was good until key cards got nerfed and now it feels a lot weaker and less satisfying to play. I crafted Big Druid after I saw it was played at Legend with a positive [greater than 50%] winrate but it’s been mostly underperforming so far.)
i had thought about making liadrin with my extra dust but then i read that the combo is only good in standard and trash in wild and then i was like meh. doesn’t seem like a good long term investment. the thing is i wouldn’t put dust into making the 984573945 legendary one but i found some decks that seemed decent that had alura too and i got that out of a pack. so…

Because of how I limit myself to certain classes on certain servers, I can afford to splurge and spoil myself for those particular classes. My main account on the Americas, where I have played since 2014, is where I spoil myself with Paladin. It’s the only account/server I play Paladin on, so I let myself craft whatever legendaries I want there. I currently have about 4 legendaries I am looking to craft, two for Paladin and two for Warrior, one of which will go into a Libram deck. The other legendary for Paladin will go into a Secret Paladin. Both are Wild decks and neither deck is very competitive but I want to play the decks so I will eventually find a way to craft the cards I need/want for them.
Just for reference, I do also play Druid, Shaman, Priest and Hunter on my main account but I focus mostly on crafting for Paladin primarily and for Warrior secondarily. The only druid decks I craft there are token druids. Interestingly, Token Druid is currently good both in Standard and Wild. I have an Even Shaman I crafted which turned out not to be great, and for Priest and Hunter I haven’t crafted anything recently.
On the other hand, I have shaman, druid, priest, warrior and hunter decks on other servers so it works out overall.
i’m trying to figure out WHAT i want on my main account. at this point i am just using my secondary account to test out random leggos as i’ve gotten 38503498503485 of them in like 12 packs. not all of them are good. but some of them are. i’ve committed dust to making a more well rounded collection so far but if i can find something that feels good to play i’d probably go all in. i just had legendaries like that jandice one and i was like “de” because i don’t think i’ll ever play rogue or mage as i don’t like the idea of either. my wife had a fit though as she essentially mains mage. which is why i haven’t dusted the other two despite wanting to use the dust for things i’ll actually use. i play mage a lot because it’s easy and it makes her happy. but you know which classes i’m actually interested in. lol. i realize i said i don’t play it but that i do. i play it to make her happy mostly. lol
I play rogue and mage on my secondary account. They are really fun classes and worth trying out when you get the chance. Rogue, in particular, really feels like you’re playing a different game.
Jandice is a really strong card in both mage and rogue. Not every deck runs cheap AoE effects (and of course even the ones that do don’t always draw them when they need them) so sometimes both of the 5-drops get to live and they can generate a huge tempo advantage.
In general, I advise against disenchanting cards. What I disenchant is golden commons. The way I do it is I buy enough packs so I get all the commons in non-golden form so I can afford to disenchant the golden ones.
As you know, I also limit myself in terms of classes but I don’t know if that’s something you want to do because it’s essentially burning a bridge that will be very hard to mend in the future.
the issue for me are the heroes used. i hate jaina for wow related reasons since she’s gone completely bonkers and hates the horde now and is rude to you. same thing with tyrande. in the night fae campaign she’s a total jerkwad when you do it as a horde character. andruin is at least not totally awful he’s just… a passive man. which isn’t even a bad thing. i won’t even get started on valeera. lol. i’d probably main druid on my main account as one of a couple of toons to cycle through but malfurian is literally the worst character in the entire franchise that isn’t illiidan. if i had a tauren druid option like hamuul runetotem i’d do it probs. i know it’s just hang ups but i’ve played wow for 16+ years so it’s hard for me to separate it completely from HS you know?
I played and enjoyed Warcraft 3. For me, the characters are who they were in that story. Valeera is an unknown (lol).
I should probably mention that I don’t play warlock or demon hunter because they are evil classes. I have tried to play them but I always felt evil energy so I realized I just shouldn’t play them.
For me the warlock thing is an rp thing. I am lawful good irl (what pally isn’t?) So when I decided to try role playing I decided to do it as something totally opposite so I didn’t end up making a Mary sue/something that would annoy others. My warlock is lawful evil though. Lol. Can’t give up that lawful. XD I’m someone who has strong irl religious convictions but it’s just pretend. I’d never summon a demon irl obv, even if it was a real thing. Lol

I have learned to trust my feelings on some things. If some things feel wrong, it’s better to stay away from them.
That said, I don’t judge others because who am I to judge, right?
I try to do what I believe is right then love others.
