Why was lightning bloom printed

Blizzard goes and nerf Innervate but decided to go print a new copy by add overload for both shaman and druid. Even those it has 2 manna overload it still makes the card just bad as the original Innervate.

I have a feeling blizzard going to have to nerf lightning bloom to slow down shaman from the early game.

Yeah Bloom is one of those cards where you can’t print a deck to be balanced without it that isn’t broken af with it.

If you balance the class around bloom, then they suck when they don’t draw it. If you don’t they get to totally scam you when they do draw it. Two mana is too much acceleration.

I knew from the day I saw that card that it would just be trouble, like how can you nerf it?

its probably this forum definiton of "trouble "

which is " this card is being played in ranked mode !!!"
many on this forum start complaing about a card as soon as it sees a bit of play

It was added so the basic cards become useless… YOU HAVE TO BUY packs in order to add a card they purposely nerfed that was already there… its been their thing for a few years now. They nerf a standard/basic card, JUST to add a card with the same (or even better effect) in a “temporary” expansion cycle of 2 years.

Better than complaining about a card before it even sees play. Glide, anyone?

The only way They could nerf it really is to raise it from 0 manna to 1.

Deja Vu evolving Shaman. We are back to basic classic rng fiesta with heavy mana cheating factors and some still don’t see the light of day. The deck is oppressive even with techs in your deck, how to fix the deck?. Nahhh just nerf it to the ground, Shaman needs to evolve/revolve from this dumb mechanic once and 4@ll and be good at something; other than totems ;(

Because unlike many think cards aren’t nerfed or HoF to kill an strategy forever.

They normally are nerf or HoF due to the imbalance during the moment and/or to make sure that the strategy around it not gonna be viable every single year.

With that said nothing actually stops blizzard from wanting to ressurect one of those strategy during a given rotation.

Also sell to you the same card many times feels like a very effective strategy for profit if people not call you for doing it.

Wow, I had to spend 40 dust to craft a common that was old innervate except with a downside of overload 2! How dare blizzard make me get this card I essentially got for free from getting all commons in the first 20 packs.

Stop reminding me of my shame.

Although I got Broom right. It’s a pretty good tech card in some decks.

By having it be “Permanent Overload (2)”. It would keep 2 Mana Crystals permanently Overloaded, but unlike regular Overload it can be replaced by regular mana (ex. you have 10 Mana Crystals of which 2 are permanently Overloaded, when your next turn starts you get a new Mana Crystal as if you had less than 10, replacing 1 of the permanently Overloaded ones. Also can be replaced by Mana Crystal generators like Overgrowth).

Basically a twist on “Destroy 2 Mana Crystals”, but Overload synergy works with it such as Vessina and Lava Shock.

Imagine Innervate being unnerfed while Lightning Bloom is still in Standard. Just imagine. Now be grateful they nerfed Innervate.

LoL  The glide meta isnt here, YET

The reason they nerfed innervate is so that they could make the same card, but behind the paywall… yes its cheap to make, but its not a basic or standard card.

I’m holding on to 10 regular copies and a golden one just in case. That card ever gets nerfed, I’ll be swimming in dust :money_mouth_face:
