If you really wanted to you could probably farm a bunch with your friends and use the deck sharing function to cover some of the cards youre missing
I had thought of that, but I don’t think it is worth it since you don’t get experience while playing with friends right?
The tweaks can be anything even if it goes against what players wants. I won’t be surprise if Buzzard added more levels to the progress track than what we already seen. Achievement’s gains exp when a green check mark is presented after completing that goal but if a player has lets say over 2,000 achievement’s where is that exp on the progress track when each player starts out at 0?
I will like to see the tweaks to exp matching my achievement’s goals I’ve already did to be added on top of my exp progress track overall. That way I know I’m getting those rewards instead of feeling cheated.
they just need to tweak the XP and add some more gold. it’s really an easy fix
and i think enough people have made a stink about it now that Hearthstone will make the right call and fix it in the coming weeks.
It easy to calculate it. There is exp progress for the rest of the track. We can see the rewards.
Weekly quests + daily quest have its number. We can find each our own average number daily play time.
Crunch them all, the number doesnt look satisfying.
I mean, those who like playing casually every three days before, wont get to cover it all if they keeping that casual pace.
Casuals got other game to play. They still here because the exit barrier quite huge. Tho, this seems like the final push for them to let HS go.
Imagine people actually believing the new system would be better than what we had before. You know what they say about a fool and his money. You can literally know zilch about math, all that you needed to know is activision and its CEO to figure out things would change for the worse.
In any case, it’s gonna be fun watching the horde of fools attempting to defend this scam as they figure out they are getting screwed by the new system. They will eventually silence themselves in the face of their own ridiculousness.
Something along the lines of “pay no attention to that man behind the curtain?”
cause people dont like change and they want a reason to complain about it
Iskar is on drugs if he actually thinks this system gives you just as much if not more gold for the same time investment. 1 Week in and i could already see that i have to play way more to also complete weekly quests and then still be no where near the same reward i got under the old system.
No they was a deliberate move to pull the wool over our eyes because they think the Player base is massively brain damaged and mentally handicapped.
I love change and I still hate these changes
so are you guys finally ready to let this trash game burn? I came back just to see this happen unless these so called new expansion releasing today somehow manages to save them -but at a quick glance it looks like more trash lol
I don’t think it will kill their game so to speak, absolutely many will leave, but some will stay and pay more, I don’t think it will result in profit by any means. Otherwise you could look at it like each expansion had about a 50% of a set catchup mechanism in the old system and now since 25% of your resources are reduced and the set is 25% more to collect, you now have 0 catch up mechanic, but can maintain to a certain extent.
Well I kind of think there are enough resources still and “only just” still to have fun in wild for a veteran player if they are f2p long term or spend some cash. Because you can rely on some of your older epics and legendaries to fill the gaps I think crafting 5 new cards for your deck each expansion is doable. Their move might also push a lot of players to wild and I expect most people will be playing wild as of next April after the hall of fames and also 3 sets going out of rotation.
I mean you can of coarse stay in standard and play against these wallet players, but for me personally you will only achieve a fair standard of play if you are lucky with what you pull from packs (so maybe strong enough for 1 month but then the next your collections just not good) and the ranked rewards are almost half of everything I earn in this game now, so I think it’s important to push for high rank and easier to do in wild.
Less gold! Less gold! Less gold! Less gold!
What do you not understand about it?
you can not count?
Are you serious? I need at least 2 legendaries and some epics for each new deck in wild. Even tho my collection is pretty good.
Well I mean I am the same, sometimes wild can be expensive too, I am always between about 3,000-7000 dust away from any tier 1/2 deck in wild and I only own 2 fully completed decks, but I have 21,000 dust and the decks I spend it on will stay relevant for a lot longer.
Mostly the decks only require 2 legendaries and if I get 1 of the legendaries from a pack, then it is not so hard. I think it is important that you were playing from a long time ago because gifted Baku, Gen Greymayne and Leeroy all for free.
I calculated it with how much i played before and its way more grind for the same amount of gold and this new system forcing me to play ranked and win every week which i loathe. I rather be playing Meme Deck when i play ranked. Sure now i could get some credit toward gold playing Arena instead of playing ranked or BG for the 3 wins 10 gold you used to get but even so its way less way way way less than before for the same amount of time. This new system brings a level of frustrating that makes you want to scream obsenities into a pillow.
It’s the same as before (within ±10-15% margin of error). It’s just some of the packs on the track are not “free”. You don’t get less now than you did before and you don’t get less if you play a lot vs if you play not much (same as it was before - you get big boost when you complete the quests and only a trickle after that; so obviously playing just to complete quests gives more for the time spent, but it’s exactly the same as it was before). I don’t get how ppl even came up with those nonsense statements.
There are slight differences, but they’re really nothing to talk about.
The real problems are xp for time played that will encourage botting and roping by those bots and potentially some unrerollable quests for unflexible ppl (e.g., ppl who don’t play ranked). The rewards themselves are fine. Everybody would take as much as we can get, but there’s nothing to cry about when we get the same.
And if you don’t like gold pre-converted to dust (most of the older packs from the track will indeed go straight to dust for most ppl) - that’s a different topic. Although I don’t see the problem here either: you just have to do the crafting instead of new pack opening (of course, I personally would really prefer to have only new packs on the reward track (or at least ‘year’ packs)).
Well you actually get less per game than 10g/3 wins so I don’t know what you are talking about when you say that time is more important now. Also the overall amount the quests give you are slightly less than previous quest rewards. Where it is better is for the first like 30 levels of the track you get some really good bonus stuff or rather the same but more rapidly, but it doesn’t make up for what is lost ultimately.
You get ~12g/h. That’s rougly equal to 4 wins/h. So roughly the same, unless you compare it to pure face decks only (although even those can’t really do much better than 4 wins/h). Of course, current system doesn’t really reward winning that much. So yeah, you would get less now if you had 70% winrate before, but that coin has the other side too - some1 with 30% winrate will get equally more now.
I was averaging a lot more than 4 wins per hour, I could often get 10 wins in an hour. In the old system if I had a good run, I could get 30 gold/hour.
I can see how the system was biased for hyper aggro but that is a secondary problem they could have addressed.
