Why so many pants?

Seriously (but not seriously) I get opponents with the word “pants” in their name SOOOOOO much it makes me wonder if there is some sort of secret pants clan…

I been seeing more wolfs lately.

With your name I figured you would attract more squirrels.

Huh.

IIRC, “(blank)Pants” is one of the default Blizzard account names.

be careful, get some squirrels in them and you’d become a SIMP.

Beware of all the Ghost Dragons and Silent Storms.

Of course someone with the name “nuts” in full display wonders why so many people have pants.

It’s blizzard telling him to cover up, for sure.

never look down the pants, no matter how enticing.

theres a party in the pants and you’re invited.

I’m sorry folks. I wanted to reply faster but I did actually look into the pants. I’ve been living in a wonderful world of squirrel ravers and cat DJs.

I had been wondering the same thing for months. Last week, I met one in the New Player Forum who said that it was a name suggestion by Blizzard for the establishment of the account.

LuckyPants, CrazyPants, ClownPants, DancingPants, MagicPants, GhostPants and I just played BattlePants the other day!

We live in a civilize society therefor we have pants. Would you prefer there not be any pants?

Honestly, I think it’s a random Battlenet account name when you go to make a new account. Has anyone here made an account to play on the Xbox? Kinda the same thing there. Usually it’s a compound word (made up of 2 words) as well.

I see them a lot too and I used to think it was the same person with a lot of accounts haha.

It’s the same on the EU servers, which is odd as Pants mean different things in the UK to the US, what you call pants we call trousers and what we call pants you might refer to as boxers…

Also, when we refer to something as ‘pants’ we’re essentially saying it’s not very good, we’re not saying it’s rubbish / garbage but at the same time it’s one the least disparaging insults we have, one the earliest forms of meh we have in our vocabulary.

Whatever Spudpants.

This is Pafpants signing off…

A Blizzard rep has already confirmed that this is why. It is just one of the words used for people that don’t want to create their own unique account names.
