Why isnt anybody talking about Arena?

Did everybody give up on trying to get some attention brought to the tired broken unbalanced bucket system?

You charge admission for a game mode that is more lopsided then ever before! Your paying for the chance at hopefully receiving…good luck? Paying for chance usually resides in a casino or gambling establishment.

I’ve played 2 mages who had decks basically that seemed like they where standard constructed, she plays mech warp and all the sudden is dropping mechs the rest of the way. My problem is the lack of removal vs these synergy’s. If you are only giving us a slim chance at a removal spell what happens if we get behind?
Not only does removal seem scarce it is also grouped up with other very useful cards that give us the chance to fight if we get behind based on card draw or just rng all together.

There is no skill in receiving a bottle necked hand based on the games draw mechanic…and when you add absolutely no removal you got games that are over by turn 5, 6. That isn’t IMHO a system that should charge 2.10$ for admission.

I know that trolls are going to point out…“well if you don’t like it then don’t play it”. I play it cause I enjoy the game. I play it cause once apon a time the Arena had CHAOS…Watch any Witchwood video right before August 7th 2018. Kripp has one called Arena in a nutshell. Massive removal, spells and chaos…you knew that someone had 4 defiles, you knew someone had 3 fireball’s…but the awesome part of this is we also had 5 shadow bolts and 2 shadow flames. It was Chaos at its finest…and its the only place chaos belongs…The Arena.

Because we do not want to.

well all i got to say is ^^^^^^ lul

Last time i played arena (3 weeks ago) i got hit by 2* flamestrike + 1* blizzard +1 polymorph. And that was pretty much frustrating. So lack of removal? I dont think so (at least for 3 weeks ago).

Arena should be more of a midrange mode. You play minions, you do the trades and you play really carefully with the few removals you got.

Feel free to take my opinion on the matter with a grain of salt - I’m far from an Arena enthusiast.

If I could only post screen shots of decks I’ve had over the last 3 weeks that included 4 spells or less…and sometimes it was spells that got offered but did nothing to help the position i was in. When I say lack of removal I don’t mean that it don’t exist. I mean that it isn’t offered enough to sustain a comeback if you get behind. This isn’t a cry for non stop removal. This is just to point out that a deck with a limited amount and a lot of un synergistic minion’s just isn’t balanced. I keep seeing balance updates…but not much if any balance brought from them.

Last arena I played I got a terrible deck and had to face 2 extremely powerful ones after which I decided to retire it.

Before that I had a powerful deck that got 7-3 even though I piloted it poorly in some matches.

It happens. Not sure if there is a greater problem since I can only tell you what I experience which is a small sample size. I often see “mech” decks that aside from having a lot of mechs have little to no synergy.

One thing I do feel really bad about is that sometimes I get a legendary and a couple good epics and others times I get a deck full of commons and 1-2 rares.
When you get a really bland deck it feels bad.

Man, I like arena a lot. The new rotation system is very cool imo. Makes me feels like I am playing a different arena everytime the sets are replaced. It add more variety. Hugs!

i hope the format dies in a fire. I can’t stand it. plus the only people who play it are wizards i couldnt beat with the most busted deck on the planet… why would i spend my money/gold just to get obliterated.

i’d rather have a different ladder mode with the same type of set rotation.

I don’t talk about Arena because I don’t care.
Standard constructed is fun. I don’t have the cards for wild.
Have only played Arena a single time (the free ticket). Arena does not look interesting to me. The Brawl is boring too but at least it is free and you get a free card pack for a single win.

I would talk, but Blizzrd doesn’t care and it would only attract trolls… Just had a weird paladin deck with the same bucket offered 10 times (burly, bronze dragon and mech mechanic). Ended up with a pile of these bronze dragons… And then played against a bunch of mages with a few conjurings, flamestrikes and other spells. I mean, sometimes bucket system is very annoying with offering same cards over and over.

I don’t good arena player and arena expensinve. I only make 2 wins

OP sounds like he hasn’t adjusted in the new meta. Not all strategies work for all metas. At some metas you could see streamers having success by skipping 1s and 2s and focusing on 3s and reactive cards, if you tried something like that now that there are so many GvG cards in (which is the most aggressive expansion they’ve ever printed) you’d be killed instantly.

This rotation is very different from the previous ones, you have to experiment with your mana curve (which with the lack of reactive cards becomes especially important) see when your deck has a bad flow, discover why that is, and accept that when experimenting you might get 2-3 wins even if you were an infinite player before.

And that wasn’t just my experience, watching arena streams the pattern I usually notice is: streamer has an 8 win average --> new rotation starts --> streamer gets destroyed —> steamer figures out what works now —> streamer has an 8 win average.

Sure, each run has luck involved but play enough runs and your average will reflect your skill and effort in adapting with surprising consistency. Personally I like arena way more than standard atm, it has much more variety and if your average is more than 3 wins it’s more efficient than just buying packs.

Unlike the first wild arena rotation ,this one is more enjoyable to play.
Made my first 12-0 with a mediocre rogue. Warrior still super bad thought.

Yeah, rogue is the best class atm, while warrior is the worst. It helps checking hsreplay to choose a class instead of going in blind.

According to HSReplay, Hunter is the best class, Warrior is second, and Rogue is seventh. If you look at the meta snapshot, the top Warrior deck (Control Warrior, 54.59% WR) is tier 1 while the top Rogue deck (Hooktusk Rogue, 52.61% WR) is tier 2.

But we are talking about arena, not constructed.

Huh. I thought I was on a different thread. My bad.

The arena I don’t really like anymore, and the arena meta we have now isn’t all that fun. Very much play curve agro rush.
12-2 druid 8-3 warrior 0-2 retired shaman and now 4-1 warlock (with syphon soul at 6 as the top end lol). Only 4 runs I have played,i used to play much more but somehow it doesn’t appeal to me anymore.
There isn’t much adjustment to be made,to who ever said that. Its pretty much the same meta as before the rotation which is heavily curve oriented and everyone has scribe at 6 (and there is a few more of those cards, lots of same cards you see) There is almost no room for control style decks.

Also once you tried standard a bit more seriously arena feels a bit lacking in debt, and loses some of its atractivenes.
