Shouldnt it be first spell each turn one less? Seems kind of insane in wild with all the card searching, PW:S

You as assuming the development and balance team are good at their jobs. That in itself is quite a big assumption. Blizzard suffers from brain drain because they can’t keep talent due to their pay policies. They are trying to emulate Amazon by under paying and banking on their name is something people want on their resume. They get a lot of young talent fresh out of college who move on with in 2 years once they realize they are getting fleeced in the payment department.
Real hard to build good products when your employment is a revolving door.
Why not? Jaina’s apprentice is also still everything cost 1 less, even tho it’s now 4 mana. But mage has better ways to use her, so she got nerfed and priests elemental don’t.
