Why is Brann a Warrior Card? Any lore behind this?

Seems to me every class can use a Brann in its current format.
Why did they give it to Warrior alone?
I am not familiar with the Warcraft space.
Is there any lore story behind this?

Idk about lore but Brann was supposed to be a hunter card,
following the original character association,
but since warrior was very bad in that moment they decided to give him to him i guess…

Considering they were quick to memory hole my theory about faction favoritism, that pretty much confirmed it.

How do you know he was supposed to be hunter ?

This team has a knack for making once sensible choices seem less logical as time goes on.
It’s another indication of the lack of consistent class identity, where your class might play similarly to another in future expansions.

Anything can be anything in this game. Your hero is just a portrait atp.

Because just as we associate Rafaam with warlock or Hagatha with shaman as they were the first to have their own class card,
that was the consistency that was expected,
To stay the same,
It was not imperative but was a cool concept that reinforced the identity of the classes for many…

There has never been consistency about the league of explorers or EVIL being associated with a class.
Hagatha is shaman exclusive, Lazul is priest exclusive, ok.
But Rafaam, Togwaggle and Boom were neutral first. Just as the whole league of explorers.
Elise, Reno and finley even have 2 neutral versions.
Reno was neutral, got 2 mage versions, now is neutral again.

Actually, it IS consistent that Brann is a warrior card, same for Elise going from druid to priest, and finley from paladin to Paladin/shaman. The real inconsistency is Reno not going from mage to rogue. Since all of this is respecting their dual-class that the playable heroes have in adventure modes.

I belive Brann was a duel classer because of the following one liner he says when you take him for his first round in Tombs of Terror “Hunter traps… warrior tricks… DINOSAURS! Hah hah, they won’t know what hit ‘em.” At least with a one liner like that brann was honest to himself. The entirety of Showdown in Beantown was a gapping plothole even if you think of it as a “prequel to the leagues” as the devs put it.
Everyone’s gotten consistent brand recognition except for Toggwaggle if you ask me

Which makes zero sense, as azerite was discovered in the lead up to battle for azeroth.

It’s not that hard to keep timeline consistency.

that’s a cool reason i like it
