Sarcasm is a thing.
You can word an emote to be the nicest thing possible with puppies and heart emojis, and people can always just think it’s said in mockery/BM.
If you emote when things are going good/you win, obviously you’re gloating.
If you emote when things are bad/you lose, obviously you’re salty.
Doesn’t matter whether that’s what you meant. That’s how you’ll be perceived.

Too bad. It’s also your fault, since you know that’s how people behave, but you still do it to agitate them. It’s like you know hornets behave, but you stick your hand (or head lol) into their nest.
And you know people behave like that. Just look around the forums. We can write entire sentences for each other, but we still get into fights because people love to interpret words in such a way as to get them into fights. I know I’m guilty. I ain’t pretendin to be better than everyone.

There might be one exception I could think of where an emote is “safe”, and that’s the beginning of the game where you do a greeting.

My only wish is that when a skin has awesome looking thematics, but a horrible voice, that we could preview the voicelines in the select menu and/or also select our 5 emotes.
Like you play emote bm rng on if “well played” gets you a “♫ Well done” or if it gets a sarcastic and/or flaming message after “Well done, CRETIN” from a tamsin.
Some characters have voice lines that seem overly baked to the skin. Like Firelord malfurion looks dope,
but all his 5 lines are basically
“THE FIRELORD WILL BURN YOU” “FIRE IS COMING” followed by
“I used to be a archdruid like you, but then everything changed when the fire nation attacked”“BURN ME!”
Like, when you run across a 100 different avatars, the one sided personalities can seem different.
But when you’re the one avatar. it feels like your hero’s one personality russian roullete really gets old. It’d be more nice if we could preview or set the “hello, well played, greetings, thanks, threaten” lines using our own skins if we had say, multiple versions of malfurion. Why not be able to use another one?
Ditto for Jaina, cariel etc. If it was all or nothing tech and the deck slots for skin emote tech wasn’t there yet though, i wouldn’t mind picking voicelines per class though.
But i guess that could be immersion breaking seeing A murloc speaking perfect english or a thrall speaking murloc.
I play Paladin & I still use Uther. I have the females, but when I tried to use them, I really did not like the things they were saying or the way they were saying them.
Uther is really boring, but gentler.
Everyone gets squelched at the start. Everyone. I don’t give a rats behind about your portraits voice lines or idiots need to spam them.

I know I’ll get attacked for saying this, but I do know you can find these previews of their emotes on youtube, assuming you know the name of the skin you are considering buying that is. I’ve never had to do it as I;ve never bought with irl money any alt hero skins. ALl of mine are earned thru the game itself or the occasional for sale in shop and can be bought with gold. But I’ve seen my buddy irl open up youtube while in the game store to do just what you are asking. it tedious, way too much extra effort needed that ought to be in the game itself, i agree, but its there if you really wish for it. lol
Oh yeah is handy. But it’s a catch 22. Someone needs to upload the skin to find the skin.
Some like locked tavern pass heros you just have to pray are good or skip +10-20% xp.
Like i want a xuen skin or a cat form /feral druid for my feral druid hero power deck. But all i have is a firelord obsessed malfurion when i got his flame skin.
Hoping xuen sounds decent. Since some skins have beautiful appearances but awful or accidental bm lol.
