Why heartstone became too expensive

Hmmm not really sure what world you live in. However, out of all the games that I have bought over the years, to remain up to date in this game you have to spend money. I"ve been playing this game since launch.

You can by dlc’s for other games at a quarter of the cost that will last you the entire YEAR. YOu can buy a Yearly Gym membership for the price one pays for a mega bundle in hearthstone throughout a given year.

Hearthstone has been the most expensive game I’ve ever played and continue to play.

only for this battleground

Recently returned to this game and went to play some “chill” bg’s… as soon I saw the screen I facepalmed and was reminded why I left this game… how in the hell they havent still put the other 2 heroes for free? no wonder why the game is on decline… keep milking the cows I guess I might be out again soon regardless…

Haven’t spent money on the game in years and I manage to craft the kind of decks I like to play. Wild is very cheap to play.

Got 150 packs gift, and decided to give this game a shot again. At first, so many new cards to learn that I got excited and I was thinking about to buy the new expansion, but as soon I spend some time on wild ladder I saw some disgusting decks, pretty toxic combo designs with no cards to counter, I mean… after all this time Mecha’thun druid still a thing ? Beside others ridiculous nonsense combos everywhere.

But the real problem of this game is people willing to pay so much for this… When I entered in the game store, I couldn’t believe how much they are charging rn for this cards, for god sake it’s a mobile game with digital cards, not tradable, just a collection of pixels… And this price always will be that high just because people don’t care to pay that much for that, it’s nonsense, just talk to someone who does not play this game how much you are burning on it,they will be stunned.

I recently bought a PSVR2 and I though it was expensive, for a full immersion hardware… Now I know it’s not when you compare with casino games like this. For those players that manage not to spend a dime on this and still got 1 place on ladder, you are the real GOAT here, congratulations!

That’s an awful amount of time wasted afking in the game just for some gold for a few digital cards that will probably suck. I could be playing an actual game instead

Sure if you are fine with just playing with the cards you have or you just want to play forever 1-2 decks then HS isnt expensive but if you would like to play the meta decks and god forbid play more than 1 class and maybe even experiment then HS is VERY expensive. Just look at the craft and disenchant ratio, complete BS.

For 40-50 bucks you should get all cards from an expansion that would be fair and also healthy for the game. Games usually cost around that price point but somehow because HS is a card game it makes it perfectly fine that you need 100s or even 1000s of bucks to get all cards ? That doesnt make any sense, its not like you could trade cards like in RL.

There are already so many cosmetics in the game and golden cards etc. for Blizzard to generate revenue outside buying expansions, this is simply pure greed and not good for the game. People will eventually become bored playing just 1-2 decks and leave.

I also would like to play more classes and even go into wild mode and try there decks aswell but its simply not possible and so after playing now 2 weeks again I probably will quit again.

I remember I once bought I think for 80 bucks packs for a new expansion and couldnt even craft 1 deck I wanted, I even had to dust old legendaries. That was the point for me I quit the game, and will now again. Right now I just can play 2 mage decks and thats it, thats not how a card game should be. I want to play multiple decks/classes and experiment, but again thats not possible unless I want to trade my kidneys for it.
