Because the alternatives are better.
Hearthstone asks $50 for expansions, and you don’t get any cards. You get tokens to gamble with. Card packs which might give you 20% worth of an expansion if you’re lucky.
It’s not just Hearhtstone that people are leaving, they are full on attacking Diablo Immortals too. Reviewers gave it a score of 8/10 on Metacritic, but players gave it a 1/10, because people know you’re exploiting them. Buying out review sites with early copies no longer works.
Not just players know you’re exploiting them, governments know it too. Several countries in Europe are now banning Blizzard games like Diablo Immortals, Blizzard games are called predatory by governments in Europe.
People are dealing with inflation (a decade of money printing will do that). People feel cheated, they’re paying half their wage at the pump.
And then comes Blizzard, who wants to nickel and dime you, and people are saying no. For $50 you can just buy a bunch of games that are finished out the box, instead of 20% of 1 single expansion.
Hearthstone jumped the shark, you nickel and dimed players way too much.

If they don’t want to allow complaining then blizzard should remove the forums. Most people seek out the official channels to put in complaints.

Where are the defenders of “roping is permitted by game mechanics nothing should be done”? Emoting is allowed and abused so there should be no auto-squelch.
This man is expressing his opinions and should be allowed to do so.

Strange. The only money i ever gave them is for the solo adventures that reward cards upon competing the challenges within them. The rest i earned with easily attained in game currency and crafting.

New marvel game looks fun (the one ben brode made).
It has a gambling element like the backgammon cube which i really like.
You can up the stakes (win or lose more ranking) if you think you win and the opponent can then either accept or decline and resign for the amount that was at stake.
(if i do understand this correctly from streams as i havent looked into the game itself yet).
Constructed is on a slow and steady decline. There is many reasons for this most of which are not really blizzards fault. Its the natural life cycle of virtually any game. It wont die though,as the player base is to big for that.
I posted monthly player numbers earlier, so Hearthstone overall is NOT in decline.
Maybe you could make some sort of “players are moving from Ranked to Battlegrounds” kind of argument. What I don’t have is evidence for playercounts of the various modes within Hearthstone.

Those numbers they dont say much all that much. Just like the amount of twitter users doesnt say all that much.
Such online statistics are notoriously poluted by multi accounts,bots,players who downloaded the game to play 1 game and not more,etcetera. They are not meaningless but they dont give a clear picture.
