Why druid is the strongest in all 4 formats

Mana is the most important resource in the game and in a class where you can use more mana then your opponent i am not surprised this is the case.
I think druid needs to move away from this identity or at the minimum the ramping should be slower and put them at a big enough disadvantage so that they lose alot more tempo for ramping.
Ive played this deck and it does need a nerf they need to make gufs hero power change every turn possibly.

Also if you disagree about druid being strong in all formats please site your reason.

yea, never liked ramp as a mechanic, too much feast or famine.

Priest has almost always been a class that keeps druid in check.

It’s no surprise that druid is dominating where priest is failing.

Priest can easily deal with ramp druid right now. But it’s lacking so much elsewhere that druid gets to take advantage.

You can take away ramp, but every class gets other stuff like hard removal, aoe removal, mana discounting, or some other mechanic. Druid would get something in return. Recently hunter has gotten tons of draw to lift their old class restriction in exchange for not amp’ing up the face damage any more.

not sure what priestlists you´re playing, but kazakusan with 20mana had not been going in my favour that often.

Amulet quest priest, or amulet priest. Kaz is a lot easier to deal with now that they can’t double cast fireballs while clearing the board at the same time.

Quest priest may have a shot against ramp druid, but just about any other style gets clobbered once Kaz comes down and they start wanding your minions or casting rag fireballs. Have not tried mill priest yet so no idea how well that handles druids. Besides, even if you can beat druid the fast decks will eat you alive.

it doesn’t help that Druid has been pampered by team 5 for quite some time now.

The issue is that it is turning into another RPS meta, you gotta aggro(demon hunter) to counter druid and somewhat pirate warrior.

You got druid that dominates anything not aggro.

Then you got control warrior again that dominates the aggro that is countering ramp druid but it loses most of the time to druid

Edit: like nothing has changed much from the past meta

I just faced my first ramp druid climbing out of silver after a few months away (following the abomination that was Seedlock).

Turn 8, for 9 mana draws 3 cards, gets a 9/9 taunt and plays two 8/8 giants.

I manage to clear the 9/9 and one of the giants, next turn he plays Brann, gorgon into two more giants and another minion.

Then there’s the 2 mana draw 5 for Paladin, the disgusting tempo of pirate warrior and rogue…and to top it all off, everyone of these net-decking clowns emotes smugly about halfway through the game as they steamroll me.

Already sick and tired of it and will uninstall.

I truly believe the game is unfixable at this point.

For some reason it seems every pirate warrior I run into smug emotes, despite playing the most brain-dead deck in the game that I effectively have almost 0% chance of winning against no matter what I do.

Druids smug emotes too, but at least those I have something of a chance against as long as they don’t get embers of Ragnaros and book of the dead.

For Druids right now the ramping is still dumb in giving them twice the regular mana limit, but it’s really Kazakusan that keeps them from dying. As a control deck I can beat just about everything they throw at me barring bad card draw, but then they toss down Kazakusan, book of the dead and/or embers of Ragnaros me, and win.

why do people always focus on ramp

instead of oracle of elune and kaz?

they focus so much on it oonly afew players in these forum started to notice oracle exists only because it started being run on a ramp deck!

I am oddly fine with their ramp and everything else in class currently. They are vulnerable to aggro which is a solid counter. I think the biggest offender from the deck is Kazakusan. They essentially get an auto win against value/control decks by dropping a single card in deck without worrying about the restrictions on it. The card needs to have real deck build restrictions attached.

that makes some sense, haven´t played much this season and mostly highlander priest, which felt very 50/50 depending on how degenerate the druid was (some of them even put bran+alex in there on top of all the other threats cause apparently you just draw guff on curve and get away with it).

Yeah, if you get a bunch of mi’da going, it’s a Druid killer. Save your silences for their treasures if you can. Druid doesnt run silence except sometimes the 1 minion, but it won’t hurt. Max out Amulets. It’s also important, imo, to run Shadow Word Ruin. Both of those kill the big Druid boards so all you’re really dealing with is the treasures.

It’s just a ripoff of Green color in MtG. I like nature, I grow manas.
