its a single card that just outright beats all deathrattle builds, yet if someone godrolls hyperstats there isn’t a single card that just screws them over on the spot like that.
I would say its just as hard trying to setup a baron build as anyother so why does baron need a “lose on the spot” condition while megastats builds get a free pass ?
yeah I knew that was coming, make a card that coutners a single deck type only to make a counter to the counter, none of it really needs to exist does it ? it just creates a punish to a specific deck type for no reason ?
that dosn’t answer the second part of myquestion, where is my counter card that effectively makes an entire board of massive stats useless in the same way that zap does ?
Umm, that’s what poison and Leeroy are for? If their entire board is just giga-big then you’re just going to lose because they obviously scaled too fast for you.
Objectively none of it is necessary because it’s all a game.
Counter play is what makes the game FUN for most people.
If I think I am going to get a baron thing going I am saving blood gems or whatever to try to buff it. I’ve gone so far as to swap the attack and health with chemist to stop a zap from sniping it, knowing my board would win if baron lives.
That’s the mode.
If you don’t like it, don’t play it.
Leeroy, mantid, sefin, amalgam all negate stats. You can find multiple ways to DS them, too.
The game is not “build my stats and winz cuz all teh udder playrz r dum.”
Good for your opponent to have the presence to know what to play.
Get better and you won’t have issues with good players.
Edit: I literally just won a game where I couldn’t find stats by taking a parrot, trickster, Sefin, two amalgams, mantid, and a felbat. Complete scam that destroyed my lobby. I countered their builds. All of them. Including beasts and big demons and elementals.
The old 1/1 poison neutral used to be the answer to “if they try to Zap my Baron”. Now its a lil more complicated than that. But if you can even get lucky enough to find a Baron at all it shouldnt be hard to find an Uther to make it a 15/15 Baron, making it much less likely to get sniped unless somehow you scaled beasts like elementals. In which case if you did, I want to know that secret. lol
Doesn’t this question answer itself? Zap counters Baron. You want your double dr’s, then save a space for minions that can give buffs to your Baron in some way. No comp should exist without a counter, whether it’s obvious or not.
