If this is another Apotheosis Wild Pyro Thread…
Wild Pyro will heal based on the damage it does from AoE, damage it receives upon being hit from an attacking minion/vice versa (no divine shield), or if it hits face.
Another thing to note is that if Wild Pyro has Poisonous, such as if it was Adapted, it will clear the entire board including itself, assuming all minions take damage from the AoE.

Why does it not work with the demon hunter taunt then? I stole the demon hunter taunt with priest and put apotheosis on it dont work that way. It was a wile back.
I’d have to see the play to answer that question.
Wrathspike brute “When attacked do 1 damage to all minions.”
On the assumption that you own the Wrathspike Brute:
The minion will have lifesteal and deal its attack damage first. Then the lifesteal AoE hits afterwards. You get lifesteal from the initial attack.
I assume that the trigger then applies before the minion dies, applying overkill damage that also heals. I could be wrong here. If the minion dies before the trigger, you don’t get healed from the AoE. If it does, you get healed from the AoE.

Yeah, lifesteal is an interesting mechanic. I’d suggest trying out a Dragon Priest - it’s probably one of the few priest decks that isn’t an ordeal to play against.
I’m gonna go test the Wrathspike Brute + lifesteal interaction now.
The better one, imo, that people rarely see or don’t even know about is the Abomination + lifesteal. Sweet heals.

I remember that kind of combo in Warcraft 3, except it was a dreadlord providing the lifesteal, and the abominations didn’t go off like bombs. Maybe I had more fun with gargoyles slaughtering other air units with that lifesteal. Good times. I kinda wish dread lord was the newest hero instead of demon hunter now.

Right on. I just remember it not working that way for some reason.
Were you at full health, maybe? Or did Wrathspike’s initial damage heal you to full? Sometimes the lifesteal effect is easy to miss when it doesn’t actually heal you.
The same reason poisonous work with pyromancer.

The dream was always Missile Launcher + Venomizer + Beryllium Nullifier for a 10/14 that can’t be targeted by spells/hero powers, and clears the board every turn.
