Why does priest punish you for interacting with board?

Everytime I play the card or see it played, I’m surprised it exists the way it does. Sure, it’s a dead card if you have no minions to play it with, but like you said, you only need one to get good value.

Crazy card

???

There’s an absolute world of difference between “0 mana, every undead you play gets reborn” and “3 mana, give an undead reborn if it was already sitting on the board.”

That Drakkari reborn minion is so much worse than Undying Allies that I’m astonished you brought it up. Of course it doesn’t see play, it’s slow for the deck and requires you to already be on the board and only hits one minion…

The current meta simply sux as it’s going for a long time with team 5 in charge - vicked game balance and broken decks all around.

Well SP is an aggro deck but not that simply really (or at least it doesnt seem so).

I am glad we arent dying on turn 4-5 anymore, usually. It’s more a turn 8-9 game these days and thats good.

So why didn’t Priest saw play before the miniset then and only raised in popularity after the miniset?

Actually it is only worse later in the game, but isn’t much worse at all, because most of the time I experienced players used Undying Allies for 1 minion early, which is actually worse, but later on it’s getting better. And we are talking about an aggro deck where early turns are important.

And it astonished me that you are astonished about comparing both cards while ignoring facts that Shadow Priest is an aggro deck and playing Undying Allies requires you have to 5+ (with coin) to get more value than Drakkari, who gives your chosen minion reborn, but also put a 3/4 body in play.

  1. Miniset added Rotting Neceomancer and Mind Sear.

  2. Dude, Undying Allies is 0 mana. Even if you only hit one minion, it can be used on turn 2 or 3 alongside your premium deathrattle. The 3/4 “give reborn” has to wait for three more mana (I think it’s 3 mana). It’s way worse tempo.

EDIT: the power isn’t specifically the reborn, it’s the fact that it costs no mana and applies to all undead in a turn.

Which created a far greater problem than Undying Allies in my opinion, because this cards and the board clear gives Priest too much non-interactive burst.

Yes I agree that it has more tempo if you have no board early, but if your premium DRs are still on the board for one turn the minion is better, this is still far away from your “much worse”.

From a control perspective I agree, but for aggro this isn’t an issue at all. But against control decks on the other hand you can still tech silence with ETC.

that and removes your stuff while automatically ramping damage on you that is way stronger than ANY ramping damage garrotte rogue every did except garrotte got hard nerfed because “rogue” and warlock is fine because warlock!

only issue here is big smell mage has a lot of expensive cards that I don’t own (both runes), I have had some success with the cheaper aggro mage against them! it kinda just freezes their stuff ! I also had to substitute cards and use the card that pulls past cards! have gotten iceblock and devolving missiles a few times <3 bring back devolving missiles !!

and if you PAY the 9 health (or whatever) to remove them they just respawn as doubles the following turn!! priest is so fun and interactive !!

which was probably fine when they had to pay 2 mana to enter shadowform rather than it just happen automatically but the game / meta is so hyper tuned right now it would probably be unplayable that way around !! ?

also I don’t get why benadictus is IN and the old shadowform spell is out ? I don’t own benadictus and wanted to make a fun shadow /holy control hybrid deck, also seems pointless crafting him since he will be core next rotation (and I don’t have the dust)

in this meta it could probably cost 1? or heal around three for 2 mana to maybe be a contender for good hero power imo

their actual favourites being druid and deathknight with priest as third?

Clearly your sarcasm detector is broken, but with that many games played as priest it checks out.

You keep telling yourself this and I will keep laughing at the hero power and pass crowd.

I’m so tired of people acting like Tier 3 is okay. The only difference between a Tier 3 and a Tier 4 deck is that the former is technically viable for climbing when you’re below Diamond 5 and still get win streak stars. Once you’re at or above D5 a Tier 3 deck is garbage.

True. There was an absolute world of difference between Humility and “Humility on a Steeck” Aldor Peacekeeper. The difference was that the spell never saw any play and the minion did.
