Why does DH exist?

Was the class just a cash grab? I don’t see how the devs can ever balance the class to a point that players won’t complain about it without making it unplayable altogether.
I would have loved to be a fly on the wall when the team discussed creating this class and it’s cards.
Unfounded justification must have ruled supreme in those spitball sessions.
I don’t know why the class exists. It does nothing to improve the quality of the game to me.

It exists to cause me pain and suffering.

What Haunter said, with the exception of the Big Demon deck I made. That one’s actually kinda fun.

And doesn’t run Altruis lol.

Most of the cards for DH we got for free. Or are very cheap

So no, another of your corporate conspiracy assertions is incorrect.

Asking a question is not an assertion.

It’s speculation for sure. But, no one can deny that Blizzard has continually upped the power and the effects of cards with every expansion. And, no one can deny that the class wasn’t balanced on release, and may still not be. I do not have proof that the motivation is greed, but as Blizzard is an exchange traded company that operates on the same ethos that all corporations do, which is to make more money every year irrespective of what other concerns there may be, then I gauge that it’s a really safe bet. I think it is also safe to say the class does not exist for balance or diversity, as it made the game more unbalanced than ever, and there are other classes that do everything DH does, just not all in one class.

How is the class an “cash grab” if almost every card of it including some of the most powerfull cards are free?

i asked if anyone thought it was. I didn’t claim that it is
Others have said I don’t post properly, in a way that invites discussion. So, this is me asking all of you to discuss why the class was created.

you were the one who said a class with most of its cards given for free was a cash grab…

Again: I asked: The proper response here would be to agree, or disagree and state why. For people who complain that my posts don’t invite discussion, many sure don’t seem to grasp the fundamentals of critical thinking and debate.

Okay…

So here is your answer.
Why you play games?

Design unlike many players here think is part balance and the other is just art.

The idea of an hero that depends far less on minions and battle his way by himself is fun by itself.

Not everything has an rational answer.

I could just say that the game needs more content to still gaining money but I think you asking more for why exactly demon hunter was created and not why content is created in general and for that question the answer really is that they did feel it could be fun.

i know those type questions
is the one where you dont expect an answer
the type of question you include your own answer into it

the real question you made is in the topic tittle

You’ve made the assertion before, and I’m not digging it up again because you will ignore any direct quote I bring up anyway.

To put your question to rest:

Many people have asked for DH to be added.

Adding a new class is not easy.

It is easier to make cards stronger and dial them back then make them to weak and never get any data on how to make them better.

Getting updates through iOS and Android is a really pain, especially iOS, which limits how fast they can update.

They just announce another balance patch — they are continuing to balance the game while you whine about it. Whining about it more is pointless, they are already balancing the class and the other classes.

Dear Mallenroh,
Does nothing to improve the game imo:
Well, a lot of ppl were excited to try a new class for the first time, I was. A new class and mechanics are fun.
How do you get ppl excited about a new class and want to try it? Give it undpowered cards so ppl ask why even introduce a new trash class. Or put it right in the middle of the meta, assuming that is possible.
Or make it OP so everyone who tries it has a positive experience?
Oops, Blizzard went to far on the last option and nerfs came 3 days after launch?
There was a 2nd nerf. Now a third incoming.
This was a good business decision.
Remember the business part of this? Do you volunteer all your labor, or expect to get paid?
The company and game is for profit, it’s not a non profit entity.
Would you want it to be?

TLDR: new class is exciting, trying it is fun when it is powerful, if released as underpowered then the community would ask why even add it? Watch the meta and data and issue needs to bring it close to the test of the classes.

The guy in charges bonus was $9999999.99 instead of $10000000 so they had a meeting of what would bring in the most profit and they came up with New Class Hype.

How; pray tell, is asking questions whining? You seem to have carried a great many personal opinions from what I suspect is other posts of mine with you to this topic.
Now. Getting on to your actual rebuttal.
You make good points. Your one actual answer being that many players asked for it. My concern is this: How far are they going to have to nerf the class to make it balanced, and when that is done, will the class be something anyone wants to play?

It exists to piss you off. You, in particular. Blizzard is harboring a secret agenda against your success and happiness.

The rest of us are just caught in the crossfire.

Gee. Thanks a lot.

You know; you do not have to read what I write.
Much like television, you could choose to watch something else.

Are you throwing shade on my absolute sincerity?
