Why does Blizzard make Paladin decks so expensive?

When it comes to other classes, their decks usually run 2-3 legendaries. At most it’s usually 3 legendaries.

But Paladin decks on the other hand, they all need 4-5 legendaries. The current meta Pure Paladin deck runs a whoopin’ 5 legendaries.

Why the hell does Blizzard make Paladin decks so expensive? I would love to start playing Paladin but the dust investment is waay too much.

Paladin has a history of being a wallet class. Probably started with tirion being one the best standalone legendaries and having the class get a lot of these kinds of additions in expansions.

Why do you think Uther says…

“BY THE HOLY LIGHT!”

because he saw the dust cost.

Mech Paladin can get away with just Leviathan and Lightforged Cariel. Secret Paladin isn’t a good archetype but it would be very cheap as well.

A lot of decks current come across as very expensive because they run both Renathal and Denathrius, but we get those cards for free so that’s 3,200 dust taken off the cost of many decks.

Well the only class that’s ever had the term “wallet” in it has been warrior back in the day.

I’d say paladin isn’t that much more expensive than most. They tend to not have a lot of must have epics or legendaries for their decks to work as most paladins that have succeeded have just been buffs or librams which were all fairly cheap decks.

I feel like shaman, priest, and warrior tend to be the most expensive as their control tools usually are epics and legendaries tend to be necessaries and critical control spells that really hurt to not have in the decks.

?? it’s the players that make the deck, not Blizzard

silly

Don’t be silly, it’s dependent on deck choice, not class type. For example, there are expensive Warrior decks, and then there’s the inexpensive Pirate Warrior.

Well, in Uther’s words: buy the holy light. So, buy the freaking holy light! It ain’t cheap.

“Why does Blizzard…” can always be answered with a single, 5 letter word, starts with F and ends with S. It may not be the answer you want but it will always be correct.

Flags? Foods? Floss?

Come on, Trebek, throw me a bone here. (Shut up, Connery.)

I said a bone. Definitely do not throw that.

Or if you must, at least put on a monkey suit first.
