Do you remember this card?
It would be very useful now against pirate, mechs and murlocs (especially murlocs).
Meanwhile, in its standard period I have never seen such a “tribe” dominant meta.
What are you using to get rid of murloc warlock?

In my experience, my Murlocs are taken out by enemy minions. I definitely need to play it more in order to get a better handle on it and to properly answer your question.
Also, great suggestion regarding that Warden. That minion might just work in this environment. I only wish it cost less.
Murlocs are susceptible to silence, AoE and Taunt. Bear in mind, I don’t know what all Standard has to offer in regard to these tools for each class.
I am a returning player and this is my first time playing in Standard. This is based on previous experience.
Silence, AoE, Taunt and single target removal for key murlocs. Their end game is to flood and buff. Unfortunately, some buffs do not end when a murloc dies. Board control is a must as well as taking down the enemy before they can over run you.
If I had to guess some type of heavy control or maybe a control-combo or combo control might work. If you can live long enough to survive to assemble your pieces.
Tech cards besides silence…maybe that card that counteracts the opponents next spell/minion? I’m not sure the cost of that one though. I think it’s probably too late to be super effective in the early game.
Nothing else comes to mind but if I find anything new, I’ll let you know.
GLHF!
Remember when MC are stomping all over the meta and we don’t have a single tech against secrets except the hunter spell? They almost wait the deck rotates to introduce the 2/4 minion when are way too late, we suffer months and months with paladins everywhere in ladder with the same cursed deck over and over.
Looks like they don’t learn with the mistakes.
It takes time to gather data. I’d wait a week or two to see if there’s answers. Right now, everyone is playing what wins. There should be a rise in counter decks in the next week or two.
However, I can also understand how frustrating it is to say, “Give it time,” and nothing changes. In that regard, I empathize with you. I wanted you to know I’m not saying it from a place of condescension but from a place of logic.
Yes, on day 2 after rotation and a new xpac, it seems like it will be this way forever. All I’m saying is it’s too soon to tell. I’d say give it a week or two - a month, tops.
After that, you’ll probably see me on the “This needs nerfed” bandwagon.
Lol. Murloc Warlock…
Terrible deck
I like how instead of a tech that destroys a mech, pirate, or murloc (switcharoo)
we have a tech pirate that destroys a beast… and hasn’t seen play.
swing and a miss.
It sees/saw some play in Pirate decks, targeting to kill Amalgam of the Deep. But yeah, it’s not an Auto-include since it’s a very bad card without the battlecry and you won’t always get to use it.
