Why is it when I trade or my opponent trades a card everyone can see what it is?
No one but the person who uses the trade mechanic should see what that card is.

The mechanic was made this way.
Probably because in this way you know that the opponent is trading a card and it’s not cheating instead
Why does it matter?
There are only 26 tradable cards.
Of which only 7 are in 5% of decks or better.
If you pay any attention at all, you should probably know what the card is when it’s traded anyway.
But it’s still not particularly useful information to know that a blackwater cutlass is in the rogue’s deck somewhere because you already knew it was.
