Currently on the boring diamond 5 grind, and i keep wondering why we even have a board anymore ?
Demonhunter : don´t play minions , just draws cards then OTK you on turn 7-8 which is made even easier due to the quest .
Mage : don´t play minions , and if they do it´s only to kill them with brain freeze .
Rogue : don´t play minions exept for loan shark . Then OTK you on turn 6 like clockwork.
Druid : don´t play minions . Only Guff when quest is done .
Warlock : The quest variant only play minions when they are ready for the OTK combo .
This is not even Hearthstone anymore . Board strength don´t matter at all anymore . just face cards . And if this is the direction the devs wants to take , i think a huge part of the playerbase is going to quit.
DH: yes, otk is good. but DR DH is also good and sees play.
Mage: ok. 1 class that doesnt play minions.
Rogue: hahahahaha. Coin rogue has like 30% winrate. It’s one of the worst decks in the game. There’s a reason you dont see them anymore in d5+. The fad lasted like 2 days. Quest rogue which is the better rogue deck atm is completely based on minions.
Druid: Wut? Are all these tokens i see a mirage?
Warlock: The best quest variant is the Zoo one that runs a ton of minions. In fact, the minions are the real wincondition with the quest being the finisher/inevitability.
Paladin/Shaman/Hunter: let’s conveniently forget to include some classes that play a ton of minions.
Rogues play two other minions besides, the shark. Octobot and Auctioneer, and good lord why hasn’t auctioneer been sent to the graveyard by now? That card is such an enabler these days when you have so many cheap and reduced cost spellscough mage and rogue that allows people to just quickly cycle their deck. Watching your opponent draw through their deck in one turn has never been fun and it seems like this one card is often the reason why it happens.
Tempo tools have been blatantly overpowered across multiple classes since Scholomance.
Mana cheat is egregious at this point. And the most hilarious part is, combo/tempo decks aside from Druid and Rogue don’t really have survivability as a weakness.
Basically archetype fundamentals got forgotten in a chase for flashy lolrandom (and not) plays, making the game’s balance struggle a lot.
Paladin got broken again with a cheap weapon that has no business being that cheap. Also they got MORE TEMPO with sticky rush minions, covering up their weakness for no reason.
Shaman is basically Face Hunter 2.0 Electric (literally) Boogaloo, meaning it can prey on a lot of decks in an unrefined meta pretty well. But even Shaman can get bloody run over if the mage just hard mulligans for Flow lmao (and when do they not?).
You left out the part where if Paladin doesn’t get that weapon or any other hand buffs most of their deck is dead (including that new rush minion you are complaining about)
Also that Shaman has a better winrate against Quest Mage then like, everyone else except for Hunter
