Either the designers of BG have no desire to make the format balanced or they are just completely clueless on how to do so. My god, you still have some heroes that are unbelievable good, while others are junk. Some of the new buddies are more of a nuisance than a help. It was so funny when they nerfed some of the hero pets as if they care about balance… even though the game is sooo much more unbalanced in other ways they ignore. Hey here’s an idea, let’s give Malygoes the same ability as the other guy that makes a minion in tavern a higher tier… except lets let it increase by 2 tiers and let him do twice a turn. Meanwhile, well give the other guy a pet that randomly increases the tier of tavern minions once. And let’s not pretend that the one minion that gives elementals in tavern +1/+1 for every elemental played isn’t broken beyond belief. To me, it seem like they DON’T want the format balanced for whatever reason. Because it’s hard to imagine a design team being that clueless.
