Why do people have to ruin every tavern brawl?

Cant we just have 1 tavern brawl in which people don’t use some broken combo for free wins? Like, can we actually have fun with this mode for once?

Feels like I’m asking too much, the current brawl is already filled with cancer rogues with pogo hoppers and dealing face damage cards. This is why we cant have nice things!

Dev could have banned certain cards from the brawl, since not, then it is intentional or an oversight.

that would take actual thought and coding. they have the janitor running the game with copy and paste.

Lol. Now I know why I had insta win when I have entered the tavern brawl with rogue (no pogo, was trying some Sinister Strike)

Lucky me. I was afraid I would have to think and suffer another boring busted brawl for a 40 dust

Actually few brawls (I mean more than 1, but I may be wrong) had some banned cards.

I’m not sure you can blame players for this one. This design degenerates basically immediately.

Still waiting for the 30 Legendary brawl. Unlock every Legendary card specifically for the Brawl and let everyone create the most heinous and convoluted deck. That brawl would be the definition of fun.

There’s not much room for this Brawl. Choosing one card is all about who can seal the game faster, not to have fun.

Eh, it’s a boring design anyway. You can’t really do a lot with one card, the 2 card variant is just better.

They ban pogo then its underbelly angler and endless value or that 2/2 pirate summoning itself or other such nonsense. The brawl itself it broken and should never be ran again.

The janitor, unlike the devs, at least does his job.

I hate to break it to you but if you can solve this problem at the human level then by proxy you’d fix every other game mode and also accidentally discover the solution to world peace.

The good news is this is a great system for identifying horrible people no one wants around in the first place.

Good luck with that I think you have a much better chance to cure cancer than making a mass mind control device that you would to take the human out of human nature so you can win at video games.

There’s a pretty strong counter that farms Pogo Bunny. Brrrrr.

Just play shaman with 1 copy of earth shock and see if they bother to take it fatigue.

Why punish yourself by Earth shocking for 30 turns?

Nope, couldn’t keep up :weary:

so basically 8 random card against 8 random cards?

Play timeout and rope every turn

No Pogo guy has the endurance

and that’s the problem you shouldn’t have to NOT play the game to play the game, retarded design

Well, people do it clearly to win. So competition is the problem. In a way I guess it could “fix every other game” and be “the solution to world peace”. Of course I’m not saying something like that would be easy to achieve, but the problem is actually quite easy to spot.

And I certainly disagree with it being a “great system for identifying horrible people no one wants around in the first place”. They are without a doubt only doing so because the game is designed in such a way. (competition) Imagine being upset your calculator for always showing the same correct result, amirite?

It’s like people love to blame for example the Germans because of the [REDACTED] regime, but are we really that much better now or just on the winning side? The point is that people may not be aware of what the consequences of their actions really are, but this isn’t about the person itself. They may just don’t know any better.

Do you really know why they behaved that way? There is a reward for the first win each Brawl and the passive 10 gold for 3 wins. And some people just hone in on the fact that the game is designed as an competition. (“It’s about finding and abusing broken mechanics. If you’re not doing it thanks for the free win.”)

Technically a cure to cancer is probably easier, but what exactly is here “take out the human out of human nature”? Although doing it differently would be “irrational” in the “competitive sense”. But people playing more for fun and not caring so much about winning would certainly be not “inhuman” because there are many (for example me) who do so.

But it seems that you only see it from the “competitive side”. As I said with such an attitude it wouldn’t make any sense, but even if you can’t imagine there are people out there that don’t fanatically focus on only winning. And that is the point here. It’s basically about what “unwritten rules” you want to play the game with. (“sportsmanship”, “fair play”, etc.)
