When you are drafting an arena deck, if you choose a card that says “if you’re deck started with no duplicates” , why can you then be forced to choose a duplicate?
This has happened to me multiple times over the years. Most recently I attempted to put the Staff of the Nine Frogs in a shaman deck, and then around pick 23 or so, I was forced to choose a duplicate.
Either there needs to be code to where if you choose a “no duplicate cards” card in arena, that you cannot be forced to choose a duplicate, or they need to remove the “no duplicate cards” cards from arena.
Because there’s no forces synergy in the arena draft
You’re willing to take the high-risk high-reward choice and said risk is that you can end up with a useless legendary
the Point that doesnt make it a “risky” point is that the whole deck is ruined because the draft was completly suited to the choise so the wholle run is ruined
For all the kids saying “you took a risk” , “maybe stop trying” or other idiocracy remarks, you should just shut up.
This is lazy from Blizzard not doing it. I didn’t even know you could get duplicates if you got a legendary who forces you to start with no duplicates. I picked up multiple times a legendary like this with nowhere near a duplicate all the draft.
Somehow, now, at the 27th card, I got a duplicate. This is stupidity. Literally.
Its exactly what happens, wtf? Do you want me to read the Legendary Power of the said card?
Low iq? Hello? When your best card in a draft ( Arena ) forces you to have a deck with no duplicates …and then the system gives you duplicates when you are building your Arena run … what is it ?
No , you are not smart, sorry. Put chatgpt to answer for you.
But I did it …
This situation is more of a bad game design issue rather than a bug, though it depends on how the drafting system is designed in Arena.
Why It’s Bad Design:
Contradiction in Mechanic vs. Drafting System – If the game encourages a no-duplicate deck for a powerful effect but later forces you to pick duplicates, it undermines the entire deck-building strategy.
Lack of Player Control – Arena is already RNG-heavy, but this situation removes strategic decision-making. You are forced to break your synergy, making your Legendary card much weaker.
Inconsistent Gameplay Experience – Ideally, the draft system should recognize when you are building a “no duplicates” deck and avoid presenting duplicate choices unless you willingly pick one.
Could It Be a Bug?
Not necessarily, unless the game explicitly prevents duplicate picks when drafting and this breaks that rule. If there’s no safeguard against duplicates in the Arena draft system, then it’s just a flawed implementation rather than a technical bug.
Possible Fixes:
Implement a “Singleton Mode Awareness” where the Arena draft avoids duplicate picks if you started with a singleton deck.
Give an alternative reroll or extra card choice in cases where all options are duplicates.
Hope you can understand it, else its fine … just move along.
Sorry, but are you slow minded or something? THE only Legendary card you get and which is the most powerful card in your deck is nulled and yet you say if I get duplicates my deck is completely fine without my legendary ?! A super OP deck yes, but if not, you depend a lot on your Legendary.
I have won and lost countless of times because of that 1 legendary card.
Now off you go . You literally don’t know anything about Arena…
