Why Blizzard balance team hates Druid (and Rogue)?

" We’re making this adjustment because Whomper is the biggest sentiment outlier in the format"
Years of Big priest being untouched and druid only standard deck gets instanerfed
Big rogue and Big shaman were instanerfed too.

Look at the titans

Druid 10 mana 5/7 (lol) will summon a 5/5 taunt after use one of those:
refresh mana / restore hero full health / draw until hand is full
Warlock 9 mana 6/12 open a infinite portal that summons 2 3/2 imp each turn
mass poof / buff the imps / summon 2 6/6
Rogue titan lol 4 random damage
Sure late game druid putting a 5/5 taunt will save him

Colossal
Druid Colossal 7 mana doesnt impact board in the turn that played… Easy silence target. Easy trade becase is a 0/8 taunt lol
Priest Colossal 7 mana force a enemy minion attack a 8/10 lifesteal minion. Removal + Heal 8 in the turn that is played.

Location
Druid 3 mana = 2 play dead
play dead is 1 mana . Druid pays 3 mana for 2 mana value

Priest 3 mana = 3 hand of adal
hand of adal is 2 mana. Priest pay 3 mana for 6 mana value

Tired of this class favouritism in the balance team.
Anything that druid and rogue gets instanerfed, last expansions with overcosted/bad/boring cards

The druid titan is one of the better titans
For 10 mana you get a 5/7 a 5/5 taunt and you can heal all your lost hp. Or you can play this as a 0 mana 5/7 with a 5/5 taunt on turn 10. Easy auto-include in any non aggro druid.
It’s true that the rogue titan is bad though.

We’re making this adjustment because Whomper is the biggest sentiment outlier in the format.

I’ve got to hand it to you, that’s a line of 100% pure, USDA grade A BS. “Sentiment outlier” is a phrase that would never come out of a serious development team’s mouths. Nerfing should be about power outliers, not going after whatever has Reddit’s panties in a bunch this week.

And on that topic, I don’t think that Blizzard actually hates Druid. I think they openly consider the feelings of terminally online snowflakes to be a scientifically measurable source of data for balance decisions. Which means that they don’t need to hate Druid themselves, they just need to detect enough Druid hate on their social media channels of choice. Like a person who refuses to think for themselves and believes whatever they think is popular to believe.

I find it weird, however, that they didn’t give druid hard removal this core set up to current expansion. No Swipe, Starfall or Naturalize. Even Rogue has Assassinate.

Big Priest is not in the format, it’s a Wild deck. Wild is full of bs decks.

“Whenever the player feels bad about something, we have to nerf it even if it isn’t broken.”

Wonder when can they buff starfish… it will solve a lot of problems.

Why Bizzard balance team hates Druid …

I’m very much happy they moved womper back a turn. Broken combo play shouldn’t be faster than aggro in standard even if it’s a highroll.

So what you’re saying is that combo should have a 0% winrate against aggro?

I’m inclined to disagree. I think combo should win be faster than aggro approximately one third of the time. Definitely faster on a high roll.

Yeah this is a bunch of bull****. They don’t know what they are doing and it shows.

How anyone can somehow believe the dev team hates Druid after the expansions we’ve had, the dominance of Druid in it, the dominance of Druid in Twist and Wild as well, and the constant top tier performance consistently over the last few years is so insanely laughable that I can’t take it serious.

no, a single 5/5 taunt wont stop a full board of minions. Warlock titan is way better. The heal only matters vs burn decks

“Big Priest is not in the format, it’s a Wild deck. Wild is full of bs decks.”
So was Big Shaman and Big Rogue. But blizzard needs to cater to snowflakes priest “mains” ( lol maining a class in this kind of game)

Druid dominance: Worst winrate in standard now with 39,6 % hsreplay

This right here.

Druid is also oppressive in twist if druid mains want to play ladder, just btw.

But the womper change was 100% overdue and correct. Druids don’t like it, people who play hearthstone understand why it needed to happen.

Overall win rate does not make broken combo not broken.

My suggestion is to play hearthstone, not roleplay a card game. There are lots of fun things to play that are not druid in multiple modes.

People dont like big priest so
Blizzard double standard

A LOT of people don’t understand this at all.

Let’s say that there is a deck where it only has a 5% win rate and loses 95% of the time.

But that 5% win rate is immediately decided at the beginning of every match. If it has XYZ cards in hand at start of game, it instant wins.

Even though that deck win rate is atrocious, the fact that it creates non-games 5% of the time is not healthy nor is it fun for anyone to play against.

Imagine you are playing against this deck and you just say “Ok, let’s roll the die and see if I lose” and you roll the die and that’s the 5% game you lost. Does the deck suck? Sure. Is that fun to play against? No. It’s dumb.

Non-game decks that do this sort of thing deserve to get nerfed. Doesn’t matter how good or bad it is overall because it’s not a fun experience to just get mega high rolled.

Now, having said that…this druid deck was actually good. I don’t know what this OP is talking about 39% win rate BS, the druid deck in question didn’t just create non-games a lot of the time, but it actually had a solid 50%+ win rate. So the win rate was average, but the non-game thing was not fun.

I know, because I played the deck to see what all the hype was about and went zooming from D10-D4 with almost no losses. If I got Whomper in hand it was almost guaranteed game over.

Reddit partying because druid is the worst class just prove my point that people who play only control doesnt care for balance and just gonna withchunt anykind of deck/classes that could have favourable matchups vs them

Such a dumb thing to say, because Thaddius Druid actually loses to Control decks like Control Priest and Control Mage.

It wasn’t nerfed to appease Control players.

It was nerfed because it beat up any deck that didn’t have answers to early high rolls. For example, Mid-Range type of decks. Mid-Range had virtually no answer for Thaddius Druid…because Thaddius Druid was basically a high-roll Mid-Range power creep.

It’s “class” win rate and unrelated to this deck. It’s about all decks druid having no choices.

I know it is and was. Making the combination a turn slower does not destroy the deck.
