Or is it an EU thing because of most of the playerbase here are russians? It’s very rarely that i meet someone who plays faster or as fast as myself, and i’m not trying to rush or anything. Most players just does nothing until the rope starts to burn and then they mouse over the same 2 cards a hundred times before doing anything… Most of my games end with a 3:1 time difference, its crazy annoying for me.
Hearthstone players are without a shadow of a doubt the slowest ‘‘gamers’’ ever.
I do not know what EU or Russians (maybe they are busy killing civilians idk) have to do with it but try Mtga for a new definition of slow.
Maybe try Sonic or different genre if you are so fast and bright?
keep defending slow players, not everyone are blessed with immortality like yous.
It highly depends on your mmr / ranks. I need to plan ahead a lot with some decks like Mill Warlock, do you face Mill Warlocks?
Also I doubt that russians are most of the playerbase on EU. Maybe russian-speaking people (it includes other nationalities and other countries, do you know that, for example, Kazakhstan exists?) is quite a big part, but probably still not a majority. The english-speaking community represents all ranks, while russian-speaking community is mostly divided into “I caaaaan’t wiiiin against murlocs” and “everything lower than levik’s rank is a dumpster”
They’re busy fighting the Ukrainian fashies.
or they are on rank 1, last game to legend and pray you concede out of boredom.
Brainwashed Russian detected.
Its one of my main frustrations as well. Its not that I want everyone to rush, but come on, this is not rocket science. It does get better in higher ranks.
But I would still like a timed game mode, like a chess clock. Making the turns shorter like Nozdormu is not the solution for me. There is a place for all deck types. But even if I play control I don’t play this slow.
All they need to add is an option for an overall turn clock. Like a tick box next to Play, that will try to match you with similar players. Don’t remove the turn timer. But if you want to waste time in the early game, it hurts you later. Exactly like a chess clock.
If you don’t like to play that way, then don’t tick the box, easy.
The turns are way too long. Instead of 75 seconds, reduce it to 60-65 seconds. You don’t need an entire 75 seconds to think out your move
I agree with this. If someone is roping on purpose fine but if you are actually paying attention and playing the game you should be able to immediately play your cards when its your turn. The ones saying they need “time to think about the next few moves” are just slow thinkers. It never ceases to amaze me how slow people process information and hearthstone is so simple and so straightforward its baffling. Decks have a set play order with a few key points in the match that provide variance. These key points require very basic strategy and are designed for players 13 and up. The ones who think they have developed some super skill in this slot machine of a game always make me chuckle.
